DEAR SUBSCRIBER , of all the editor’s letters and updates I have penned to you over the past 10 years, the one I wrote last month was the most difficult to write.

Imagine how I felt, then, when I discovered just a week or so ago that only about 25% of you received August's Newsletter -which means that ONLY about 25% of you got to learn about the important change that has recently taken place at PLW. Rather than rewrite the whole email, however, I am repeating below what most of you did not get the opportunity to read last month.

"This month, PlanetLightworker.com celebrates its 10th birthday. This month also sees the very last edition of PLW in its current form. As of the end of this month, we will not be producing any more editions for the foreseeable future. There are several reasons for this – some of them are energetic, some of them relate to the evolutionary shift we are experiencing, and some are plainly pragmatic.

We know there is a shift taking place. Since the day of its inception, PLW has always been a ‘live’ being to us; an energy that we have never really been able to control, but rather, one that has always ‘spoken’ to us on some level about what “it†(whoever or whatever “it†is) needs to have happen.

In the mundane world, change comes to us through mundane events – we lose our job, we meet a new love, we marry, divorce, or are widowed, etc., all of which affect what we do and where we go next. But as many of us know, this is just the way the Universal energy operates to nudge us in the directions we need to go in order to fulfill the next part of our mission, contract or plan. In the mundane world, the current economic climate, coupled with the shifting energies, have conspired to bring us to a place where we have no choice other than to accept that we simply do not have the financial, emotional, energetic and physical resources to go on supporting the production and publication of PLW in the way that we have been doing for the past 10 years.

Indeed, that the magazine has continued for as long as it has (and looks as beautiful as it does) is solely due to the selfless commitment of the wonderful, talented team of people who have given so much to it over the years – people like TammiLu, , Mike, Sharyl , Ron, Damian, Evan, Vara and Steve and Gemma Hansen – as well as the dedication of the contributors, columnists and authors who have graced our pages with their wise words. For the truth is, PLW has never been (nor was it ever intended to be) a profit-making venture. The people who have worked on the magazine were never in it for the money, for the simple reason that it cost them, and me, more time, effort, money and energy to work for PLW than PLW could possibly afford to match.

And it’s important you know that none of us has ever begrudged a moment of our time, an ounce of our energy, or a penny of the money we ourselves have had to put into the magazine to maintain such a consistently high quality. What we have personally got from producing PLW and from our interactions with you, our readers, and contributors, has far outweighed anything we have invested.

And now, the time has come for something to change. After this August edition, PLW will cease production for the moment. It is not going to “die†completely… rather, it is going to go into hibernation, as it were, for a period of time, until it has completed whatever quiet period it needs in order to metamorphose into something even more beautiful. In the meantime, we are going to unlock the archives, and throw the entire magazine (all 10 years of issues) open to anyone who wants to access our archive of articles – all of which are just as timely and relevant today as they were when they were first written.

We will change a couple of technical elements that will require visitors to sign up for free access, and we shall continue to send out regular newsletters on a monthly basis. Carol Holaday’s monthly Crystal Star Oracle Reading and Carola Eastwood’s astrology column will still be available in the Newsletter, and we shall also continue to provide you with specific items of news, events, recommendations and information that we feel you will want to know about, as well, perhaps, as the occasional article or two.

Instead of featuring the article index, the contents page on the website will be used to keep you up to date on updates, news, events, plus information about the and any other information about we feel you will want to be the first to know about the Inspired Parenting Radio Show, World Puja shows and anything else that we feel you will want to know about. The AdSpace pages also will continue to remain available, so you will still be able to find resources and other items of interest.

The INSPIRED PARENTING RADIO SHOW is to continue being broadcast twice every Sunday on the World Puja network and as of this Fall, I shall also be hosting another new Internet radio show, which will focus on the latest and most cutting edge, complementary health products technologies and modalities that, in our opinion, offer the most assistance to our bodies, minds and spirits, as we navigate the coming shift from the 3rd, through the 4th, to 5th dimensional-living. We’ll continue to keep you posted about the shows and forthcoming guests via the contents page and PLW monthly newsletter.

While this may look like the end of an era, we, that is Vara and myself, are choosing to believe that what’s happening is a simple and natural part of the evolutionary process that all of us are experiencing. For those of you who don’t know, PLW was launched on August 11th, 1999 – a date that was deliberately chosen to capture the energies associated with the last big eclipse of the 20th century. On July 22nd just prior to PLW’s 10th birthday, we experienced what many astrologers say is the strongest eclipse of the 21st Century – the synchronicities seem too obvious to ignore. (If you want to know more check out Carola Eastwood’s interpretations of these eclipse and what they are requiring of us at this time in our July and august editions)

Planetary Cycles - September 2009by CAROLA EASTWOOD

Virgo’s practicality lays the foundation for substantial cultural changes The last of the long days of summer arrived in late August as the sun left the energetic and playful sign of Leo and entered the more practical, service-oriented sign of Virgo. On August 25-27, dynamic planetary aspects get us moving to make some important changes that we may have been contemplating for many weeks. A series of three eclipses in July and August have catalyzed the need for substantial changes in our personal lives, our work, and in the political, economic, and social systems world-wide. In late August and early September, we experience an ever-increasing pressure to bring significant transformation into our lives.

September’s gift-Streamline and improve our lives While the sun is in the analytical, detail-oriented and methodical sign of Virgo from August 22 until September 22, we have the highest possibility of seeing exactly where our lives are out of balance, and exactly how to restore equilibrium. Of course, people born with the sun, moon or rising sign in Virgo enjoy having this penetrating insight as an inherent part of their being, while the rest of us fumble around trying to “get it rightâ€. But this month we have a double and triple dose of Virgo to work with, so we should all be sufficiently motivated to streamline and improve our lives.

Pisces full moon sheds light on new pathways in our workand expression We can expect to be deeply challenged as pressure from an intense planetary aspect builds beginning August 26, reaching a culmination at the full moon on September 4. Specifically, the nature of our work, and how we do our work, is undergoing transformation. Inherent in this present challenge is the need to let go of our attachment to “the way it has beenâ€. In order to shed the out-dated and unnecessary, we may need to release entirely some aspect of our work, or some of the connections we have had with others. Fortunately, the Pisces full moon on September 4 sheds much light on the existing dilemma, bringing to our awareness the specific avenue that can be taken to nurture new pathways of expression and endeavor. Finding loving and inspired ways of communicating necessary changes will become easier at the time of the full moon in Pisces when we are more attuned to images and symbols and

more open to mystical insights.

Retrograde Mercury’s promise; We get current and make roomfor new creation

On September 6, the planet of communications, Mercury, turns retrograde (apparent backwards motion) in Libra. For those familiar with this phenomena, I can hear the groans now….but have you considered that this is a very natural cycle which occurs approximately every four months? While it is true that, when Mercury is retrograde, we may experience delays with existing projects, and much of our attention will be required to complete old projects, it is also true that in doing so, we free up energy for new creation by patiently focusing on tying up loose ends before we commit our energy to new endeavors. Mercury begins its retrograde in Libra and backs up into Virgo, indicating the areas that need special attention are: our personal relationships, daily routines and health. So, the suggestion from your local astrologer is to experiment this month with deciding to enjoy the Mercury retrograde

period from September 6 until the 29. Pay attention to completing old business, plans for improving health, and communications that require completion, and enjoy crossing them off your list!

Pluto brings transformation, leading to connection withour soul’s evolution The planet of healing and transformation, Pluto, after five months in retrograde motion during which we have been reviewing the systems we have previously set in place in our lives and in our society, resumes direct motion in Capricorn on September 10. With Pluto’s change of motion, we get clear about whatever we need to release or transform in our lives. As we move further into the autumn season and Pluto gathers momentum, it will begin a series of challenges with Saturn, and later Uranus that catalyze profound changes in our culture, equal at least in measure to the global awakening of the late 60’s that shook our values and beliefs to the core, making room for a new wave of heightened consciousness. To prepare for these coming times, choose now to release all that no longer serves your higher purpose and soul’s evolution.

Powerful influences mid-month break through out-dated paradigms, bringing new insights Saturn and Uranus, two powerful forces that have been at play all year and are having an enormous influence on our cultural milieu converge once again on September 15 to support us in breaking though old paradigms, surrendering out-dated beliefs, and awakening to the inner guidance of our Higher Self. How do we accomplish this? In a word, let go, simplify, and follow your inner voice of truth. A new moon on September 18 provides the seed for a new beginning; at this moment the sun and moon, coupled with Saturn and Mercury conjoin in Virgo. This gives us practical insight, incisive perception, and the discipline to achieve, propelled by Uranus’ huge push for change. Insights and decisions may come now, and we can begin releasing all that would hold us back in our pursuit of awakening.

Autumnal Equinox arrives with dynamic yet graceful callfor cultural changes

The planet of love, art and beauty, Venus, reminds us in mid-September to attune our hearts with the call of our Soul to find unity of purpose for all of humanity. The sun completes its sojourn through Virgo, entering Libra at the Autumnal Equinox on September 22, and immediately forms a right angle to transformational Pluto in Capricorn. If this is any hint to the quality of the fall season, we can expect a dynamic set of energies propelling us toward real and lasting cultural change. While Pluto’s job is to bring needed challenges to the status quo, a soft aspect from Venus at the same time tempers Pluto’s intensity with loving good will and graceful acceptance. Mercury in Virgo resumes direct motion on September 29, favorably aspects action-oriented Mars on September 30, and paves the way for new plans and activities to get implemented in October.

BEST DAYS: Each month there are days that are more ideal for starting new endeavors, forming new partnerships, or signing leases and making important contractual agreements, including buying property, starting a new business or getting married. Because of the Mercury retrograde factor, there are not many of those days in September. If you must start something entirely new in September, the best days would be September 1-4. There are a few reasonably good days for advancing ongoing projects: September 9, 26, 27 and 29, and you may expect positive final results despite operational difficulties on: September 8, 13, 15, and 17. The remainder of the days in September are best spent focused on existing projects, or on reevaluating and completing old projects.

Sun Signs for September 2009 ARIES: The foundations of your life might be feeling a bit unsteady these days, particularly in home and career or chosen life-path terms. Transformation of your career or business is necessary if you wish to create long term viability. Be watchful of what you say and how you tend to jump into action without clearly weighing your options. This month’s powerful planetary aspects may provide an opening for you towards your higher aspirations and dreams that can only be attained by shifting from your customary ways into a whole new approach to life; one that allows for time to contemplate and follow your higher guidance.

TAURUS: Your word is your bond, isn’t that right? Well, if you are watchful, you will notice there is a change in the air allowing you to access whole new levels in your communications, how you are heard and how effective what you have to say becomes. Clear communications will help you to realize goals and shape the future you choose. You may begin accessing your creativity in new ways, or decide upon a new course of learning that will positively affect your future.

GEMINI: Financial matters bring concern for you this month as you endeavor to create balance with a partner. New career options may upset the status quo, but your commitment to creating greater stability must be realized. Creative expression is a key to greater monetary flow, and you must become willing to state your needs and requirements clearly. It might be time to look into a review of your career or life path to acknowledge to yourself if you are ready for something new, and this could mean rearranging your domestic life.

CANCER: Sometimes you just have to boldly assert yourself and take a stance in situations that at other times you might let slide to avoid causing a stir with partners or in your home life. This month, you are challenged to speak your truth. Your home and family life may be transforming, and old patterns with partners must be transformed. Communicating with love, clarity and grace will result in an improved situation for all involved. You have an opening to expand your horizons at this time perhaps through travel, spiritual development or higher learning and to become aware of the power of expressing your truth.

LEO: Your working environment and habitual daily routines are challenged this month as energy or needs from unexpected sources must be accommodated. Communication may become strained, but a series of miscommunications can trigger views of yourself you might not have previously been aware of. Clearing misunderstandings with loved ones or partners will bring much needed insight and can lead to positive transformation for all. Bring attention to your finances and investments or other sources of income, and make plans based on practical values.

VIRGO: With the sun and several planets in your sign, the overall themes of the month apply doubly to your life now. Financial challenges continue and may even be temporarily exacerbated this month until you release old goals in favor of new ones that fit your current reality. This month, you have the opportunity to make new contacts and connections that help to support your endeavors. At the same time, you find new ways to work within partnerships and may come to realize how you truly appreciate the loved ones in your life.

LIBRA: The balanced state of equilibrium you love to feel is challenged by events in your chosen life path or career at this time. Your home and family life undergo much challenge as you find that your customary ways of conducting life no longer serve you and must be transformed. Do not allow the frustration of events to affect the quality of love in your most intimate relationships, be very realistic in what you really need to communicate and what is best left unsaid. SCORPIO: In the course of your transformational life, you always have some far-reaching plans you would love to put into action. First, you must let go of the past, and while that is not always easy for you, this month you have assistance in the form of powerful planetary forces propelling you to release old ways of seeing life. This might be just the time to enact something fun, innovative and even daring; let go of old patterns of communication, and dive into the creative activity your soul longs to express. Your long-term goals and vision is getting more solidified this month, and you take practical steps to bring your plans to fruition.

SAGITTARIUS: You never like to put up with a dull and lifeless status quo for long, so be open to making some profound shifts in your life, particularly around finances and mutually held resources. AQUARIUS: Your challenge at this time is to be really clear in the vision you are creating for your future. This month, you have important questions to answer: Do your current daily habit patterns promote an environment of success, or are there habits and routines that must be changed? Your time for awakening to the voice of inner guidance is now; are you prepared to unfalteringly follow your higher truth? As the world readjusts many sets of values, you have the opportunity to completely revamp your financial flow to allow for a greater conduit of resources into and through your life. Trust your higher truth.

PISCES: With Uranus, the planet of revolutionary change, in your sign and opposing Saturn’s quest to bring us life-lessons, the past months have been challenging. As you have most likely discovered by now, you simply must make adjustments to the changing times. This month, you have the opening for a creative breakthrough that might, with a little foresight, some monetary and time investment, and willingness to let go of old goals, turn out to be deeply rewarding. So, when it comes to those around you this month remember that you are dealing with other spiritual beings that are having a physical experience like yourself. So, think before you act, communicate clearly and compassionately, remember that your ability to use logic and reasoning is as much a part of being spiritual as meditating.The color and stones for September will be there to help you focus your intention in positive directions this month. Yellow is the color of the Solar Plexus, the area just below the sternum. It is considered to be the area where our self-esteem resides and where we generate the energy of our personal power and the ability to make decisions. Now is the time to bring Yellow into your life in a big way. Wear it, imagine being bathed in it, and notice how you

will suddenly start seeing it appear all around you. Find places in your house where you can add splashes of Yellow to remind you that you are a powerful spiritual being who is capable of making all clear and grounded decisions in life. Yellow energy will assist you in maintaining your sense of personal power in all your interactions. Carry a smooth orange piece of Carnelian in a pocket or purse and touch it whenever you feel unsure about how to communicate with others. Carnelian will help you to remain confident that you are doing the right thing in the moment, and it will also help you to maintain a positive attitude, no matter what is going on around you. Keeping your Carnelian nearby, sleeping with it under your pillow and meditating with it will make you more aware of the many personal talents you possess. This awareness can give you quite a boost of self-confidence as you move forward in taking your power and making your life and the lives around you better. You will want to have a piece of Fluorite to help you in all your interactions this month. Fluorite is an amazing translucent stone that can be blue, green, purple, yellow, clear or in stripes of any combination of these. It is truly beautiful and reflects the beauty and perfection you carry within. Put a piece of this stone on your desk at work and Fluorite will improve your concentration and clarity. Sleep with a piece under your pillow and you will sort through issues during your dreamtime to bring more order and harmony to your waking hours.
