Guest guest
Yes, yes, yes, I know this fruustration too. I say my brother die too young, because he listened to his dotors and never even tried to find information about improving his immune system. I would talk to him, and send him e-mails concerned with nutrtion, but he never changed; he never spoke to his doctors about anything I told him. I think this was partly due to his overall weakineing physical and partly his upbringing of trust concerning doctors. Our Dad was a doctor. So no matter how much you love someone, short of taking them in and feeding them the foods, supplements, etc., you know will give them a fighting chance, there is not much you can do the save them. Sad but true. I miss my brother everyday. Sheila --- In , Idol <Idol@c...> wrote: > Tim- > > That's how it is for me every *@#*(@# day. Guest guest
well, a few months ago my ex-gf who is a devout Catholic and I am a devout party-guy told me my religion was food and that I had a food disorder. Earliy sounds like your encounter, same person? lol.. She was/is going to doctors loading up on drugs for her nerves when it was clear she was not eating well to begin with. No breakfest, lunch meats and salad (lettuce) for lunch and pizza for dinner and lots of sodas and coffees and sugars. Heidi had it right that we can talk about this with people we are learning from but for non-combatants (civilians if you like), it's best to just let them go and lead by healthy example not words. --
Guest guest
i am going a little off-topic here but i need help desparately. my grandma is the hospital and my mom just told me that her doctor wanted her to look up the drug Avara that my grandma has been taking. well, i did and it looks like a really controversial drug, having caused 12 fatalities due to liver toxicity and 56 hospitilizations. without going in to a horribly long story, it seems like i have found a little bit of an opening here for talking about health. my mom actually agreed with me tonight when i said that you can't expect to take 8 or 9 different drugs (which is how many my gram takes) and feel very good. i got through to her a little and i am wondering if i can take down a few choice articles (basically about natural health and healing, drugs, etc.) for them to look at. at this point, it cannot hurt. i'd be surprised if anyone truly took any of it to heart, but i'm feeling helpless and i want to *do* something. i am wondering if anyone knows of some good articles to take a look at. she is currently being treated for high-blood pressure and for arthritis (with prednisone). to give you an idea of what i am looking for, i found this article and i think it will be good: http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2002/01/31/health/main327232.shtml any help in searching would be greatly appreciated---i am going this weekend and i'm feeling frantic. thanks in advance, heather Balbach <stephen@...> wrote: well, a few months ago my ex-gf who is a devout Catholic and I am a devout party-guy told me my religion was food and that I had a food disorder. Guest guest
, I'm Sue from near Cincinnati, Ohio. I was tentatively diagnosed when I was 7 but my mother never told me so I didn't find out until my Dr examined me when I was 45. That was over 20 years ago. I'm retired, did volunteer quite a bit at a hospital, with a literacy program working with adults with English as a second language program ( I tutored students from China, Venezuela, Armenia and Cincinnati), organized the inventory of city records where I live, and started a Historical Society in my town. This year my husband had very traumatic heart surgery and I needed to be at home with him more so I am only involved with the Historical Society now. Before I retired I was a teacher and later a library assistant. We have 3 children...th oldest was just diagnosed with CMT . We have 6 grandchildren 3 are adopted...from China, India and Cincinnati. They keep us busy and entertained!!! Tell me about yourself. What is your day like...what are your biggest challenges from CMT or otherwise...does anyone else in your family have CMT (my dad did and possibly his father)...how did you get a friend in France with CMT????????????????? Happy New Year, Sue

Guest guest
Two friends were walking through the desert. During some point of the journey, they had an argument; and one friend slapped the other one in the face. The one who got slapped was hurt but without saying anything, wrote in the sand: today my best friend slapped me in the face. They kept on walking, until they found an oasis, where they decided to take a bath the one who had been slapped got stuck in the mire ! And started drowning, but the friend saved him. After he recovered from the near drowning, he wrote on a stone: 'today my best friend saved my life ' The friend who had slapped and saved his best friend asked him, 'after i hurt you, you wrote in the sand and now, you write on a stone, why?' The friend replied 'when someone hurts us we should write it down in sand, where winds of forgiveness can erase it away. But, when someone does Something good for us, We must engrave it in stone Where no wind Can ever erase it.' Learn to write Your hurts in The sand and to Carve your Benefits in stone. They say it takes a minute to find a special Person, an hour to Appreciate them, a day To love them, but then An entire life To forget them. Send this to The people you'll never Forget. I just did. If you don't Send it to anyone, ; it means you'e in a Hurry and that you've Forgotten your friends. Take the time to live! Do not value the things you A0 have in your life, but value Who you have in your life ! And if i happen to get it back, Then i know my place in your life 'Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind=of battle.' .......amen
