Herbs for Swine Flu – Lu Lyons

After hearing this morning just how many people were lined up for

the swine flu vaccine, I thought I should share some of the key herbs that have

been traditionally against viruses successfully.

Elderberry; I can't say enough great

things about this herb! It has a strong history of anti-viral use and modern

science actually backs it up.

Lomatium; This herb was used by the

Nevada Indians during the 1918 flu epidemic and

none of the tribal members flu reached stage 2 and no one died.

Olive Leaf; A nice cool herb that is anti-viral, anti-bacterial and more.

Osha Root; Favored by the Montana Indians for viral conditions. This has a

warming energy.

Honeysuckle

and Forsythia (the Japanese variety); These two combined enhance each other's anti-viral

properties.

Chrysanthemum

Flower

(again not our local variety); this is a cooling herb that produces

perspiration and makes a lovely tea.

*Please note

again that these statements are based on traditional use of the above mentioned

herbs and the statements made here are not intended to diagnose nor treat any

illness. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.

O.k., I have made the proper notations as required. Now, let me further note

that during a viral outbreak you should hit back with everything you can, not

just one herb. I recommend using tinctures and teas to absorb the herbs

easily as well.

The herbs

mentioned are available and I am available for questions any time. Good health!
