Destitute, lowest point in 20 years--ANY help?????

Hi All,

Four of us have LD etc. I remain the sickest with 20 years of LD and

most all co-infections along with HHV6 and 8, mycoplasma, high heavy

metals, pituitary dysfunction with nonexistant human growth hormone.

My husband was " downsized " almost 6 years ago from 28 years in

corporate world/marketing plastics field several top 100 companies.

With COBRA running out, he totally investigated an existing limousine

business and paid money to become a partner. We were forced to sell

our house due to tons of bills (all medical) that had maxed out many

credit cards, declare bankruptcy after we went through all life

savings trying to live and continue to pay for very extended IV

treatment. We began to rent for the first time except for a few years

when first married-we have bought and sold 5 homes with corporate

moves. EVERY decision we've made has ALWAYS been defined by our " good

PPO health coverage " due to chronic disease and astronomical medical

bills despite having it. After awhile, things changed. To date, after

increasing sales 500%, his partner has stolen most of the money, has

disregarded any rules applying to a " partnership " and even as a last

ditch effort we tried a " mediation " to no avail because he is

basically illiterate, can't use a computer so brought no

documentation to any meetings. He seems to be VERY smart when it

comes to money--he left no paper trail as my husband did trying to

document ever penney he got. We moved in with my 85 year old mother a

month ago. Our health insurance runs out Jan 14th. We have $895 to

our name, own a 10 year old car, have tons of bills unpaid and are

now told we " owe " tons of $$ for business expenses and back taxes.

His " partner " continues to take all money and changed the account so

we have no idea what he's doing but are terrified he'll hit us up for

God knows how much more because we were (as he was) advised to

dissolve this business, change the name, sell the cars-none of which

he has done and still answers the phone business as usual. We've

tried legal aid-no go. Investigated advantage plans with my medicare,

SO expensive as are medigap plans WITH a drug plan. Investigated

MEDICAID and were told " it's very restrictive etc " . I am MOST

terrified that I will not get my oxycontin due to suicidal level

nerve pain. I WILL be suicidal without it. My husband is trying to

work a comission only job but we need help NOW. He is willing to do

anything but at a $9-10/hr job we won't even be able to cover

anything. We've asked many people for help so our " asking " is over.

We need help with anyone willing to help us sue this criminal (a NJ

lawyer willing to work for free until he wins this case and he/she

WILL), help getting health and prescription coverage for me (I have

medicare A and B-get $700/month) AND an individual policy for .

If we let health coverage lapse, PREEXISTING conditions WILL apply

then forget it all! I WAS an operating room RN, my husband an MBA. We

have been honest, good responsible people all our lives-I even

started " The Lyme Diseas Support Group in Long Valley NJ MANY years

ago, still run by an RN friend now since we moved and I was bedridden

X 5 years. Now have a daily fever from a newer dx of WA-1 babesia

most likely from blood given due to extreme complications from a

total hysterectomy 6 years ago. I have had 9 root canals, sinus

surgery, TMJ surgery and all upper teeth pulled--ALL in vain but due

to the suicidal level nerve pain not treated before my LD dx years

ago. I am afraid for my dear husband. He stopped life insurance-no

money, no pension. My God do we pray all the time. This is the SHORT

version if you can believe it. Can't a kind soul out there help us?

Lawyers, advice--any/all help appreciated. I just cannot die from

pain. God bless all of you.

Hello Helen,

I want you to know that you are in my thoughts daily. I understand

the destitute you are in. Some days I just pray for the lord just to

come take me and my daughters because the pain and sickness is just

to much. The bills keep coming the credit on the credit cards are

all maxed and how do you pay for treatment for the next month? Soon

the house could be gone also. Who helps people that are fighting

this terrible disease? I understand some days more than others why

the suicide rate is so high with people with lyme disease. We pray

all the time also - are we supose to just let the disease kill us -

just watch our children in pain and know that we cant afford to get

them the meds that they need - living off of credit cards always

comes to an end and we are at ours - could the end of the world just

come already!!

prayers for everyone who is in extreme need from this awful illness, I pray the

angels bring all the resources and healing that you need, for Christmas

miracles.

I was at this point too, financial and medical destitution and illness, and I

made it back, am doing okay now, there is hope. God will provide, I saw

miracles come through in my own black hole.
