I would say he should avoid it.  There appears to be some dissenting voices on this but I would still avoid.  Of note - my very frequent headaches dropped dramatically after LDN.  I use relpax (migraine med) and use one every other month - maybe - now versus several a week before LDN.  So hopefully he will have a similar benefit and have even fewer headaches.

Hi everyone:My son with Ankylosing Spondylitis just started LDN about 10 days ago. So far, he seems to have no side effects.

He occasionally takes Tylenol 1 for headaches which has 8mg of codeine in each tablet. It's the only thing that works for headaches for him. I have to stress that this very occasional usage, he hasn't taken one in a few months.

Should he stay away from the Tylenol 1 since codeine is an opiate?------------------------------------

I would say does Tylenol in itself (without Codeine) relieve his headaches? If

so, then perhaps it is best to take " regular " Tylenol, otherwise I would say

stick with what works!
