Guest guest
My GP prescribes for me, and whenever I have gone into hosp the other Dr's say what are you on 'that' for? So I educate them, but don't suppose it does much good. Maybe I should just tell them I am a raging drug addict ha ha.....if I know I am going into hosp it depends what for, surgery I would come off the LDN a few days before, if it is something minor, then I stay on it. I am thinking of getting one of those med alert bracelets for in case I stand on the motorway on a busy night!!!:-))))) our hospitals let us take our meds in but they administer them.... Celia Do most of you keep take the LDN in secret by not telling your Trad med docs? Also what do you do if you're in the hospital? Hospital don't allow you to bring outside meds in. They like to administer them all themselves and since this can only be administer by a compounding pharmacy I don't think they could or would do this.> > Please share your experiences.... Guest guest
Hi. I'm new to the group and haven't start taking LDN yet. I have IBD. Since LDN is not accepted by traditional medicine I was wondering what kind of reaction to expect from my traditional medical Primary Care and GI doctors if they knew I was taking it. I was reviewing my past med records and I had a past GI doc state that he would stop treating me if I didn't follow his protocol. Didn't think a doc could withhold medical treatment like this! Seem that is is a contraindication of the Hippocratic oath? Do most of you keep take the LDN in secret by not telling your Trad med docs? Also what do you do if you're in the hospital? Guest guest
My PCP knows I take LDN and my neurologist prescribes it for me. No secrets here. If I were in the hospital I would insist on continuing taking LDN for my MS. Art My MS/LDN story/1988 - 2011 http://ldn.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=personal & action=display & thread=867 -- > > Hi. Guest guest
Hopefully you can educate your doctor and get them to write a script for LDN. Part of that education could be to have your doctor consult directly with Dr. Jill at Penn State. Links to the Penn State, Dr. Jill Study Abstracts for LDN: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/17222320?dopt=Abstract http://download.abstractcentral.com/DDW2010/myddw/646.html And here is a pamphlet that might help educate your doctor: http://www.ldn-help.com/LowDoseNaltrexone.pdf If you are also on a sugar, grain, dairy restricted diet like SCD or Paleo, and you are taking LDN, you probably won't need to visit the hospital.
