Dreaming And Remembering With Prehnite

Properties: Prehnite is considered the stone for dreaming and

remembering. It is a wonderful stone, which brings calmness and balance

to the Heart Chakra (green) and therefore is a perfect stone for

meditation. The more white the stone is, the more it works on the

higher Chakra. It is stone that is also used to enhance our Aura, by

creating a strong field of energy around us. It multiplies and

increases energy and strengthens our protective fields. Due to its

mineral make up, Prehnite is a wonderful stone for divination. It

enhances the ability to make contact with unseen entities, increases

our ability for prophesy and allows for inner knowing. This powerful

stone increases accuracy with predictions.

Folk Remedies: Prehnite is often used in healing remedies such as

crystal elixirs or solarized water, in meditation or laying of stones

in a web around you. For reiki grids, this stone brings calm and

peacefulness to any room, in which a grid is created. They are used to

strengthen the aura and balance chakra energies. Because of this peace,

this stone is often used for those with ADD, ADHD or any type of

hyperactivity, which needs calming or centering. Because of its effect

on the Heart Chakra, it works well on the thymus gland, helps

alleviates deep fears, phobias and nightmares and has been used

historically as a prescription for kidney, bladder issues, as well as,

gout and blood related disorders.

Feng Shui: Prehnite is a fantastic stone used in Feng Shui as it allows

us to " let go " of things we hoard in our lives. This is a great

decluttering stone, which can be used anywhere that balance or

cleansing is needed. Use prehnite in the Center area for grounding,

balance, good health, spirituality and protection.

History: Pehnite (Ca2Al(AlSi3O10)(OH)2) is in the silicate family and

is a phyllo-silicate of calcium and aluminum. Named after its

discoverer, Colonel Hendrik von Prehn, it was found in a cavity of

igneous rocks. Ranging from colors of white, green to a light

green-yellow, this stone is often mistaken for jadeite.
