It is our role in life to be a servant... only when we serve do we live!THE quickest and most direct way to give meaning to our life is to remember that we are here to serve.We are servants, all of us.We might like to think that we are this or that, that we have this title or that, that our role is this or that our role is that.But we are here on this planet to be of service to others.And it is only when we serve others... become a servant... that our life works for us and we have meaning in the world.The unhappy people... the unfulfilled people... the

frustrated people.. and the thwarted people... have yet to either find or appreciate their service to others.See an unhappy face... a person who thinks they are poor... or a person who feels desperately lonely and we will see a person who has yet to find how they can serve others.And when they find that way of serving they will not fail to feel their life has meaning, purpose and is filled with joy.When we serve for the sake of serving, because in doing so we serve God and fulfil our universal mission, we become illuminated and enlightened.But we find our greatest reward when we carry out selfless service.. this is the service without any expectation of result or reward.When we seek to get something back, a return on our investment in time, love and giving, we might well be lucky and feel appreciated and rewarded by the person we have given to.But this need not be our aim.And when this person does

not give back what might be expected, or does not provide us with acknowledgment or reciprocation we still feel immensely good because we have given of our heart.We feel immensely good just because we have given.We know that by watering the ground of others in need of this watering we have also watered our own soil... found ourselves growing because of our giving.It is so powerful to share our love... give of our heart.We will not be any less powerful or any less giving just because someone does not give us back what we have given out.Because we are not doing it for them to say nice words of thanks or to reward us with a return.We are doing it for our higher self... we are doing it for God.And in so doing we are doing it for everyone because we are all connected at source... we are all one.So we should not be caught up in looking for the results, the spoken expression of our loving

action...we should, instead, just know that we have given greatly and we have allowed our own soul to grow and blossom so much more because we have shared the love that is in our heart with others in need of that love.It is not for an individual to change our lives by their gratitude or their giving.It is enough to know that our rewards come from a universe or a God that is expressing through us each moment of our lives.Because it is giving that we feel this deep connection to love which is who we really are... that which joins us all.And how can we not produce a result when we channel this loving energy into that central point where we all dwell.We just do not need to be told.We just do not need the prize or the reward.Because the moment we served was the moment we received something that transformed us, healed us and made us grow.And that is why we so needed to do it... and that is why we
