Guest guest
This e-mail is to the group members with AS or related joint pain due to Sjogrens etc. Have you all improved on LDN? Can someone with AS tell me what symptoms that had first before being diagnosed. I have been reading that it can start with the SI joint which I am now having a lot of pain and problems with. At what age did you start getting symptoms of AS?I am 55 and concerned. Would love to hear from the AS/Sjorgrens/joint pain sufferers. Please give me hope!LDN since October 2010, Raynauds, Connective Tissue Disease, Sjogrens, and Fibro
Guest guest
I have so much pain in the SI joint area, but the many types of specialists I have seen have not given it any attention. I will start anew, soon, with rheum, neuro, and perhaps osteo, but I’d like to hear from others who have SI joint trouble and how it’s been diagnosed. Thanks, ~
Guest guest
Have you tried PT or chiro? Both will take it seriously. It could be many things but alignment issues are frequent and when my SI acts up it usually means my pelvis is " outa whack. " I just had it worked on at PT last week in fact and she did wonders. Women often have even more issues in this area due to monthly hormonal fluctuations. Guest guest
,I am suffering with the same horrible pain in my SI joint. I have been to the chiropractor for over a month with no relief. Are you on any HRT? I am and wonder if that is causing the issue due to the hormone fluctuations. Do you have AS? And if so, what was the first symptom you noticed before you were diagnosed.I am looking for help too from others out there with the same issues. The pain is really bad.My chiropractor just said I had SI joint dysfunction. I don't know anymore....It is frustrating and the LDN does not help with this. Please advise. From: Arey <n.arey@...>low dose naltrexone Sent: Fri, January 14, 2011 11:10:56 AMSubject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: group members with AS or joint isses I have so much pain in the SI joint area, but the many types of specialists I have seen have not given it any attention. Guest guest
I was eval’d for close to 2 years for MS, but specialist said although she cannot rule it OUT, she cannot dx it because there’s not enough clinical evidence. Shortly thereafter, I was dx w/ Fibromyalgia. I do have scoliosis, and I have some incredible pain down my left leg (not sciatic) which I think has to do with a nerve, and the SI joint. I did have a gyn surgery that may have contributed to this. I’m taking the LDN for relief of the FM. It’s been noticeably helpful. But the nerve pain in my leg continues unabated. I am just beginning some yoga for scoliosis and have plans for massage and perhaps orth manipulation. Thanks for concern/interest/ responses. ~
Guest guest
My wife has AS from the age of 10 but the diagnose came much later ,at 25 and now she is 60. For AS there is blood test HLA 27 AS is probably relating to leaky gut.the gut is always the beginning of diesease. You should treat good candida, eat gluten free, milk free and soy free. Try to heal the gut. One Cause, Many Ailments: Leaky Gut Syndrome: What It Is and How It May Be Affecting Your Health You have also fibro and that is almost always relate to thyroid Hypothyroidism Type 2: The Epidemic With your age and many conditions ,you should find a doctor that can treat ,thyroid ,adrenal and sex hormones. That is what my wife doing besides the ldn and taking care of the gut.she feels quite good . Guest guest
I went to a naturopath who gave me a chart for leaky gut exercises. I am attaching it for anyone to use. It definitely helped me a lot! Glowing, grace~As Ghandi taught, the secret to life is to struggle against oppression and to fight for what is needed, but not to be attached to any particular outcome. Therein lies the secret of peace within the chaos."For every failure there's another course of action. Guest guest
I had issues with my SI joint. The very best for it was icing, 10 minutes on, 10 off when it was REALLY bad. Otherwise would ice 2-3x day for a few days. It made a huge difference. I, too see a chiro and he recommended this. He does not, ever, recommend stuff like ibuprofen or acetaminophen (tylenol).
