Guest guest
Hi Gail.. On our part, Rudy was already a year old before he got his first tooth & yes they do come in much slower. He had 8 baby teeth pulled when he was 10 and the permanent teeth have only just come in 3 years later but they are straight & strong. mom to Rudy (ds) & 13! & TJ
Guest guest
Gail, My girls did not have any teeth until they were 13 or 14 months old. I remember thinking they were never going to get their teeth. Just keep in mind most everything is slower with them. They will come in then you will wish they didn't when she starts to bite everyone. lol Pam mom to Hannah and age 4 both DS. Guest guest
Oh yes...teeth. Emma and Nicki were both late bloomers in this aspect of their career as children. Emma had them popping out all over the place not any particular order from about 15 months on...she finished getting her last one at about 2 1/2. Nicki is now 2 1/2 and she started teething later than Emma! She has a full set of baby choppers on the top but we are still waiting for 2 more on the bottom (the ones next to the front two so she looks quite odd). My husband Tony was also a late bloomer with teeth and looking at the Sykes side of the family (I'm a Jordan...no relation to ), the kids all appear to be an orthodontists dream!! Carolyn Mum to a whole bunch of crooked teeth on (nearly 8), 6 1/2, Emma 3 1/2 (ds) and Nicki 2 1/2 (ds) Baby question > From: GVanHouten <rjvh@...> > > Hi everyone! > Does anyone know if teeth in a baby with Ds comes in late also? Guest guest
Gail, My son Dayton (DS) is18 months today!!!! He has just cut the 2 bottom teeth. Less than a month ago he cut 2 BACK teeth.. No more yet. So go with the flow, our denist told us the later the better teeth they have. So we are waiting on more teeth now. (DS) age 6yrs. She had a mouth full of teeth by the time she was 2. At the ripe age of 5 she started to loose them one by one. Today she has lost 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom. Has got 2 on the bottom to replace the 4. and 1 on the top to replace the 4 so far. All she needs for Christmas is her 4 front teeth.lol Hope this helps you. in GA Baby question >From: GVanHouten <rjvh@...> > >Hi everyone! >Does anyone know if teeth in a baby with Ds comes in late also? Guest guest
Gail: Sam and both got their first tooth shortly before their first birthday (they would have been 9mos. if you adjusted their age). I didn't even know (of course, he was the first) had cut his tooth until he bit me!!! (I used to massage his gums alot). I do believe I read somewhere that kids w/ds's teeth come in later and in a different order. Hope this helps. Judi-mom to Sam and , Soon to be 3! Guest guest
Gotta tell you all...We didn't tell anyone until I was over 4 months preg. Of course, since I didn't know until then, it was hard to tell anyone. (Yes, actually had that dx of a stomach virus! Never was regular, lol.). Then, lol, at 5 months, that's when we, along with everyone else, found out it was twins. So, guess it depends on when you find out, too. I had no idea. I gained no weight, was in a size 4/5 when the doc told me I was 4 months along. I was sick, but they said it was a virus. No periods, but that wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Ovarian cysts have totally messed up my body. So, for all of those out there that wonder, how could you not know, there ya go! LOL Beth

Guest guest
Congratulations for us too! Some people like to wait 3 months because if a miscarriage is to occur or if (and I know you won't) something is detected wrong and an abortion is done, it does not need to be explained. We waited 3 months after I got pregnant with Bridget because we weren't sure I wouldn't miscarriage. I had early bleeding. mom to Bridget 9 ds Re: Baby question > No- there is no trick...just trying to figure out how early is too early > to tell everyone......... > > some people say wait 3 months, other 8 weeks.......I jsut dont > know......so I thought I would ask the experts > > And yes...I am pregnant...the wee stick said yes...and I keep peeing > > Sharon wrote: > > > Is this a trick question? Guest guest
I was almost 5 months pregnant with before my DOCTOR would admit I was prenant. I'd had 3 miscarriages and HE didn't want to be disappointed. He was a wonderful doctor, but he told me after was born when I went for a checkup that if I wanted to have another one to please go to another doctor because he couldn't stand the strain. I got a kick out of that. My dentist almost didn't make it through my first pregnancy with my daughter. He had 4 kids of his own, I don't know how managed that. Guest guest
I think it is a personal decision. I am preggo now 25 1/2 weeks & we told everyone around 6-8 weeks. Last year i got preggo but lost the baby @ 9 weeks & we had a hard time with everyone since they knew around 6 weeks. with my other 2 kids, lets see, with #1 we told around 12-14 weeks & with #2 we told around 8 weeks. Some people won't tell until they are into the 2nd trimester, i always just jump the gun because i'm so darn happy & can't keep a secret!!! heather--- mommy to johnny 23 months DS, 5, & Isabella due 5/28 Baby question Hi yall When is it too early to tell someone that you are pregnant?? -- Leis....
