in agreement with you, Lynn, Hanblechya is a one of the seven Lakota

sacred ceremonies. These ceremonies, brought by White Buffalo Calf Woman and

then changed into something else but still identified as authentic is

misleadign, and we see the results in the extreme as recently experience in the

Sedona inipi debacle.

May we live under the example of Grandfather Fools Crow.

ground in which the person sits " , it became common after Fools Crow to use

Prayer Ties to surround the circle. I was instructed to create 100 prayer ties

to surround me in the circle.

to an individual putting themselves " out on the hill " but the Lahkota don't

'journal' when you're out on the hill...praying, singing, observing,

listening...but no journaling.

with: " This transformational experience has been sometimes been done with the

use of hallucinogens <http://www.crystali nks.com/hallucin ogens.html> such as

peyote, mescaline, and the South American Iawaska plant during sacred initiation

rites. " Although, Elders never spoke a negative word about any other traditions

(saying only you " never mixed the traditions " ), we were always encouraged to be

free of drugs of any kind in order to be with the Creator with a clear heart, a

clear mind and a clear spirit.
