Herx vs Antibiotic not working?

I was doing great on the doxy - almost all my Lyme symptoms were gone, and my

CD-57 was on the rise. But my stomach was starting to give me trouble, and I

was burning to a crisp, so we switched to amoxycillin. Now many symptoms seem

to be coming back and getting worse. (Anxiety, irritability, painful joints,

painful neck, insomnia.)

Is this likely to be a herx, or is it more likely that the amoxycillin just

isn't as effective as the doxy? How in heck would I know? It sure is tempting

to break out the doxy and hide in the basement 'til the sun goes down.
