I get NOW brand for my vitamin B, vitamin C, magnesium, calcium and vitamin A. For vitamin E I get NATURAL FACTORS brand, for niacin I get SOLGAR and for cod liver oil I get GARDEN OF LIFE. My coconut oil is from a company named TIANA that is in UK and since I live in Europe that was better for me as far as the price is concerned. But for you (assuming you live in US, I think that nutiva has good prices - check it out!) Bee says that we cannot avoid all soy, and that the soy that the supplements contain is not in such an amount that could hurt us. My vitamin A has soy and Bee said it is just fine. It is in traces, and it is better to take it than not to. Hope that helps Marisa

Marisa helped you with the brands. > > As long as the product says, " nutritional yeast flakes, " is it safe? And do I also need to buy niacin? +++There are many good brands of " nutritional yeast flakes " but I don't know if ALL of them are okay. Brands that I know are good are: NOW, Red Star, and Frontier. Like Neal wrote you need to buy calcium and magnesium citrate separately, and they need to be taken in equal amounts, which is 300 mg of each twice a day with meals. If you live in North America you can get the correct cal/mag citrate supplements from iHerb: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/iherb.php NOW foods brand calcium citrate and magnesium citrate powders are the best. Your vitamin A is okay since it does say it is from " fish liver oil " so the amount of soy will be small. Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil is okay, but be sure to add up the amount of EPA and DHA in each capsule so you can determine how many capsules you need to take. Is there a reason you aren't taking cod liver oil instead of those 2 products? The best, Bee

Guest guest
> > Hello Bee- My name is Lourdes and I live in the U.S.A- I have started out slowly on the candida diet- Now I want to add the recommended supplements, I've read the info. on them and I just want to make sure that I'm getting the right ones for myself and family. Can you please let me know if the following are the right ones? > > Is Tropical Traditions CO a good brand to buy? +++Hi Lourdes. Yes, Tropical Traditions is good, but ensure you buy the ones that are unrefined, undeodorized, unbleached, etc., since they also offer one that is refined. > > What is the best brand I can buy of the vitamin E? +++Natural Factors Clear Base Vitamin E, available at iHerb: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/iherb.php > > What is the brand of vitamin C I can buy and in what form is it most absorbed by the body? +++Buy Natural Factors Vitamin C tablets, also from iHerb. > > Is the vitamin B better in tablets or yeast flakes? And what brand is best. +++Some people do not like the taste of Nutritional Yeast Flakes, but it is just as good as a tablet. Natural Factors has Hi Potency B Complex which is good. > > Since it is summer now, should I still take CLO or fish oil? And what is the best brand you recommend? Do I have to take a separate vitamin A or D? +++I think it is almost impossible to get enough sun exposure to make vitamin D on the skin, so I take CLO all year - here's the requirements for making enough vitamin D on the skin: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/sun.php +++The best CLO is Garden of Life available at iHerb. You then have 2 options for taking it: 1) Take 2 tablespoons daily OR 2) Take 1 tablespoon daily plus a fish " liver " oil capsule that contains 10,000 IU vitamin A & 400 IU vitamin D, i.e. halibut, cod, or shark. Since Garden of Life only contains 8 ounces and taking 2 tbsp. will use it up in 8 days, you need to buy more at a time. > > Is the NOW brand the one you recommend for Cal/Mag?And if so, is it 300 mg of each in that brand? +++NOW brand powdered calcium and magnesium citrate are best, and you measure out the amount that equals 300 mg of each, taken twice a day - they are also available at iHerb. > > Can I eat saurakraut made by EDEN instead of taking HCI? +++No, Eden sauerkraut isn't made properly; instead buy a good unpasteurized sauerkraut which would be in the fridge section at the health store, or make your own. Also do not buy Bubbies products. Yes, you can eat sauerkraut instead of taking hydrochloric acid supplements, but you might need to ensure you have enough with each meal. > > I got some stevia but not sure if it's the right one- It's made by NOW and saids certified organic stevia extract and it's white powder. +++No, that is a processed products, so that's why it is white. Only buy the actual ground-up green leaf, which will be green and powdered. I buy it from my health store from their bulk supply. You can also order the right kind from Mountain Rose Herbs: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/mrh1.php Or from Wilderness Family Naturals: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/resource/wfn1.php > > And also can my boys ages 5 and 8 take all of the above? +++For children's doses see this article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/baby.php +++Generally children older than 18 months and under 12 years old take 1/3rd of adult doses. > > Thank You so much for your site and time. I believe this will get me better. +++Yes, you can get better for sure! You can't go wrong following Nature's Fundamental Laws on health by providing your body with what it needs to heal itself naturally. It is better that he take CLO than be concerned about only 2 tbsps. of O.J. However, it would be much better to take CLO in lemon, lime or grapefruit juice instead, since they are lower in sugars than O.J. Guest guest
Credible tests on supplements typically give a positive result close to placebo or chance. But you will find tons of anecdotal evidence for taking everything under the sun that anyone can make a buck from selling to you. Unless you live in an impoverished third world country then you probably don't need supplements unless your diet is atrocious; and maybe not even then. You should be eating meats or eggs with every meal, along with vegetables. Then took my supps now i have a burning feeling in my stomach with gurgling noises does this mean im not producing enough hydrchloric acid or not enough. +++Yes it seems as if you need hydrochloric acid supplements. Please read the Improve Digestion section in my candida article: http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/articles/intro2.php#s27 > P.s i feel better most days if i dont eat, because when i do eat it makes me feel sick. +++Many people who have candida have the same problem as you do my friend. It is very important that you discipline yourself to eat enough foods every day since it is the nutrition that is going to heal your body. Ensure you always have protein, fats and vegetables every meal. +++You probably need to take hydrochloric acid supplements. With Betaine HCL is it okay if it has pepsin in it? And I take one 30 min after a meal, and 2 after the next meal until I get that burning sensation, correct? +++Yes pepsin is okay. Yes, you keep taking 1 more with each meal until you get the burning, and then you know to take 1 less. Also some meals don't need as much HCl, like Bee's Egg Drink. > > 2. I could only find Niacin in 100 mg, it's a capsule so it's difficult to divide it, can I just take the 100 mg once in the morning? Dump out the capsule and take less by mixing it in a little water - it tastes a little sour but it isn't a bad taste. Some people need to start on less than 50 mg, i.e. 25 mg. > > 3. But calcuim I ordered the capsules that you recommended, I know you said I can open it and pour it out. That did not work out. So instead I'm taking 250 mg calcium, and 300 mg magnesium twice a day. Is that okay? +++You need 100 mg more of calcium, so dump out 1 capsule and put 1/2 of it in a tablespoon, add a little very warm water to the spoon and down it. > > 4. With the virgin coconut oil, I'm only up to 1 and a half tsp. Can I just take the coconut oil by itself. It tastes good! When I am having larger amounts can I mix it with stevia and cinnamon and stick in the fridge for " treats " ? +++Yes, you can take it by the spoonfuls if you wish. It is also the best cooking oil, and you can pour it over cooked meats and vegetables along with butter. +++It's okay to mix it with stevia and cinnamon, but be careful since cinnamon is antifungal and too much stevia isn't good, so that depends upon how much you add.
