Guest guest
Whoa....you can't take your last opiate dose just a few hours before LDN, you'll almost certainly be catapulted into withdrawal! I certainly hope this message reaches you first....Particularly if you are dependent enough to experience even minor withdrawal by suddenly stopping pain meds for a day or more, I would recommend at least two weeks between stopping opiates and starting LDN.I have a theory that using *Ultra* Low Doses (ULDN) will make you less dependent on the opiate agonist (pain med) while increasing your tolerance to the naltrexone itself. This could, I think, shorten the transition period nut would require at least a couple of extra weeks while you get used to the upper Ultra Low range -- 200-300mcg (0.2-0.3mg).I've already been using ULDN for about 6 months, and it definitely has a number of benefits for those taking opiate pain meds. If and when I eventually transition to LDN, I hope that this will ease the process.Hope this was helpful and that it isn't reaching you too late! If you have little to no experience with withdrawal, I could imagine being quite scared by it, even wondering if it was a form of allergic reaction....(despite the lack of histamines or anaphylaxis).- from Maine
Guest guest
Not all pain meds are opiates and the non-opiates are compatible with LDN. Silvia > Are there the standard potential side effects or do I have nothing to really be concerned about? I do take pain meds but made sure the last pill I took was at 4 pm so I can take the LDN at 11 pm.
