Guest guest
I have Chronic Lyme (10 years+), diagnosed 2 years ago. I posted last night that I was concerned about taking my first dose of LDN 2 mg due to my weird allergic reactions. I ended up taking 1 mg and it's a good thing I did! I was up most of the night with severe leg cramps. My Lyme pain is mostly in my legs (like an aching toothache) and I am on pain meds. I did follow my doctor's orders to make sure that there is 6 hours between taking LDN, before and after. I'm thinking this is a Herx reaction as my legs are also burning now (I have not taken my paid meds yet). Sending husband to get bananas as they used to help with occasional calf muscle cramping. I think I should cut back to .05 mg? I'll also join the other group that was posted for various LDN dosages. Thanks for your help. Guest guest
LDN can cause chronic increased pain in those with lyme. Are you currently treating the lyme, if not, you need to be. Dr. Bihari sometimes had to have a lyme patient stop LDN until the lyme treatment had kicked in better and Bihari later would re-introduce LDN. , LDN user over 7 yrs for progressive Ms —------------------ > > I have Chronic Lyme (10 years+), diagnosed 2 years ago. Guest guest
What pain medicine are you taking specificially? Naltrexone is an opiate agonist. If you are taking any opiate, you must stop it for 10 days to two weeks before starting NDL. If you are not taking an opiate, I had these responses to LDN, but on the third day. I am going to post about this. I think it may be too little that causes this. I started taking 3 mgs and that felt much better on Day 1.
