Guest guest
Good to get off of ibuprofen, among other things, it's been known to raise blood pressure...it did for me and I wasn't taking nearly as much as you. Here's what Dr. W. C. II, M.D. says (below): jljack2900 wrote: Hello from (today) Sunny Central California. Day 4 of my LDN trial - last week I was taking 800 mg ibuprophen 2x a day for pain. I didn't take any this morning. Although I am not pain free, I am "comfortable", and my function is not reduced by pain. Most of the swelling is gone out of my hands and feet. I am cautiously optimistic about this. With such quick positive result and no side effects noticed, this is very encouraging!! I was diagnosed with RA 4 years ago, and have been on the methotrexate/remicade regimen for 3 years. I have been very unsatisfied with the relief from this regimen. One day searching for alternative treatments I found the LDN website. I work with doctors, so I took the information to one who has a MD and PhD in pharmacology. She read the information and agreed that it should definately work. She is my "angel doc", as she has written my first prescription for me for 4.5 mg LDN. She is excited that I have experienced fast response. My rheumy was not interested. After 2 discussions, he just ignored my request to try it. I am keeping a journal on my experiences with this trial of LDN.
Guest guest
Thanks for the information. I guess I am lucky...no HTN from ibuprophen use, and I was using it heavily for the last 4 years. Now I am at day 15 for the LDN, and I have at most taken 2 ibuprophen if I feel like I need it, but not often. Overall, my inflammation is down 90%, my energy level is way up. I am still having some tolerable pain in my feet, but the swelling is definately down. After only 2 weeks on the regimen, I am extremely happy with my result. 4.5 mg per day is my dosage. No side effects at all.
