Guest guest
I am not aware of LDN being used for eating disorders. And given it tends to work mostly with autoimmune type diseases I am unsure of how it would help. I could see how High Dose however might be used with eating disorders. I haven't researched it but in high doses Natrexone is used for addiction (alcohol and opiates mostly). Eating disorders - especially the purging of bulimia - can create a bit of a natural high effect (like a runners high). Speculating that naltrexone might block the high which might break the feedback loop of reinforcement. I would do some web searches on naltrexone in general - so covering all dosages - and see if any studies have been done. Mostly talk therapy - group (CBT & DBT) and SSRIs seem to be what I see as treatment options most often. Best of luck to you, eating disorders are especially difficult.
