Guest guest
Hello lindamerkich@..., In reference to your comment: Anyway, if anyone can give me some information on how to apply for and what to expect with the SS Disabilitiy, please let me know! ******You must be off work for 6 months before you can apply for SS disability. Make sure you have doctors reports, lab. x-rays and a couple of letters from your doctors who deem you disabled. As soon as you apply the clock starts ticking, so if you have two years before you can get approved, they will pay you back to the date you applied. However, you must have not been able to work for 6 months. ******Keep copies of EVERYTHING, in fact it is advisable to keep two copies of everything. I promise you the SS Administration will loose things. Sometimes I think accidentally on purpose. *****Be prepared to be turned down on the first go around.....this is normal.....I went 2 1/2 yrs and ended up having to get one of my Senator's to step in.....When he did it took one week to get my first check.... ******I post TONS of articles on Lyme disease that you will need when applying. I can't tell you how many people have come to me about past articles they need for their doctors and/or SS administration. Save them, so if you need them you can retrieve them. ******This is the beginning of the process, but you should get it started immediately if you have been off work 6 months.??
