Week one on LDN

I have been on LDN for a week now for treatment for severe crohn's disease. I

feel AMAZING, and I cannot believe this was NOT one of the drug treatment

options that was offered to me by my GI or Surgeon. I am SOOOO very happy that

I researched LDN, and sent them both LOTS of links and educational information

on it in order for them both to say " YES, we will let you try this before

permanent removal of your colon, rectum, and anus. "

My symptoms have decreased considerably in one week's time. I have more energy,

no stomach cramps, contractions, or pain, no diarrhea, blood, mucus leakage, and

my bowel movements have decreased from 8-20/day down to 1 or 2 a day. And I feel

WONDERFUL. I have been suffering since last April after abscess surgery not

being able to get this disease back under control where they had me off Humira

for 8 weeks for healing purposes that put my body into a MAJOR flair. They

finally put me on Cimzia in July, but took me off it in October, because I did

not respond at all. I was put back on Humira with no success. Being I had been

on all crohn's medications, I was told permanent surgery was my only option.

I am really hoping that this drug continues to improve my quality of life, and

helps my case bring awareness that LDN does need to be FDA approved for all

autoimmune disease before subjecting patients to the high dollar biological

treatments such as Remicade, Cimzia, Humira, Tysbari, Methotrexate, Enbrel..etc,

that have so many side effects. I have not experienced any side effect from LDN

at all. NO scary or vivid dreams, and I feel like my mind is clearer than it has

been in months now - I am able to focus on life, instead of the pain, suffering,

and humility. I could actually tell a difference in the first two days!

Amy,Thanks for the fantastic report! It's wonderful you are doing so well. LDN is truly amazing. Your doctors are probably astounded. I'm taking it for MS and have had remarkable results also. Keep spreading the word!Blessings!AnitaOn Jan 25, 2011, at 7:17 PM, whispermcdreamy wrote:I have been on LDN for a week now for treatment for severe crohn's disease.
