Yay!!!!!! That's so awesome! I was actually supposed to see Schnarrs today at 1:30, but had to cancel and take next Friday instead. (I had set 2 appointments in case Jeff couldn't get off work, and sure enough -he couldn't miss this week plus next week is better for our house sitter anyway, so I'm glad I did it that way.)

Keep us (especially ME) posted on your progress and happiness with your surgery... it's comforting and reassuring to those of us who are still waiting to hear happy stories. (Especially since you used the doc who I'm going to use! lol)

BEST wishes for a SPEEDY recovery and hopefully a road to the restoration of your health!!!

Brigite :)

Yes I'm in a sports bra....some say to wear a regular bra over the sports bra..I may try that when I return to work or I may just wear jackets and sweaters. I did order some gel inserts and a water bra. Just don't want to hurt my new BOOBIES. :) I'm happy I did this. I pray I'll be better soon health wise.

DR Schnarrs is wonderful and so is his staff...Dr Kolb was nothing but great too....if she hadn't broke her shoulder and I hadn't had family problems I would have went to her...she's been very helpful. But Dr S. is only 3 hours from me and he got all the capsule and used drains and did my lift...I'm Happy. I pray I get well soon.

I feel ok...but I do have a toothache...Fiqures..LOL...I had a T lift so maybe that's why I'm so tight and not jinglie....my daughters says Wow they are nice and round. :) Now for my health to get better....I may need help with detoxing when the times comes. Thanks Girls. I DID IT !

Congrats on your explant! You must be so relieved.

After explant my breasts looked strange at first, it takes some months to achieve your final result. I would say by three months out you will notice significant changes. I am 10 months out ans till noticing improvement. I know it's hard to wait, but just know that it will happen. In the meantime you can focus on healing.

You can use gel inserts if you feel like it, though I don't know how great they'll look with a sports bra (you are wearing one of those right?)

Hope you feel better and better...

I DID IT !

I got a last minute cancellation with DR Schnarrs in Norfolk VA ...I spoke with Dr Kolb she is still going to help me if needed with detox, I'm having some family problems and had no way of getting to GA and I couldn't go thru waiting anymore. I'm happy with my outcome, I'm a small perky round B...the only problem is right now I think I look more fake than with implants...when do my breast softens up and move ? I can't wait to see them jingle. Also I'd like to go back to work in a week or so any tips on how to look bigger in my clothes ? Thanks Girls for all your help....now to feel better and get healthy. :)

I am so happy for you, congratulations!!!!! I don't know about your

question maybe someone else does, I didn't have that experience mine

were soft right away, maybe because I had large sagging breasts

before implant then after I had all that jiggly skin, but no

mass,They looked like ski slopes they have filled back out,1 year

post explant. I hope you are feeling great just having them out, Try

to take it easy ok? Let others pamper you if you can, and give

yourself time to grieve and heal. This has been quite an ordeal so go

easy on yourself, I am so happy for you,

soft hugs for you

, Congratulations! I am so happy for you that it's over! I'd love to add Dr. Schnarrs to our list if he isn't already on it. It sounds like he did what needed to be done and did a good job, too. You just need to give everything some time to settle down...fluffing will occur and all that stuff, so don't stress about anything right now. Just enjoy the feeling of being implant free finally! Hi ,

Glad they're out and that you're on the mend. I noticed gradual

changes starting after about a month, but it takes time. I'm almost

a year post-explant (November 7th) and I notice my ribs are like

they were before implants now, and my breasts look great, too. Do

you have to wear a sports bra? I put a padded bra on over my sports

bra, and sometimes I unhooked it in the back if I got uncomfortable

during the day and it still looked ok. The Gap has some nice,

natural looking padded bras.

, I am very, very, VERY happy for you! Wooo Hooo! Another woman

implant-free! As far as looking bigger in your clothes, I was

shopping at a thrift store the other day (which I very OFTEN

do...help, almost an addiction! lol) and I ran across a bra with

little gel-filled bags inserted at the bottom of the cups (you can

leave them in or take them out) I guess these are popular...I can't

afford expensive bras, so I didn't know what's out there. One of my

friends filled me in (pardon the pun!)

Anyway, I bought it, washed it and tried it on! Oh, my...my

daughter-in-law said, " Wow, Mom, that looks good on you! " with my

clothes on.....I don't have a partner in my life so I couldn't show

it off with clothes off! lol It's 2/3 of a cup, with soft wire

underneath. My breasts look great in it!

After my experience with implants, I am really happy with how " big "

my breasts are. The world can just take a long walk off a short

pier! I am done with caring about what others think and say about my

body. I grew up hearing alot of " when are you going to grow real

boobs " ? I was a 32A and my best friend in junior high school was a

38D! Well, we all know who the boys chased after. Even my own

mother " criticized " me, and told me to wear falsies (back in the

day). She, apparently, was teased alot, being slim and having smaller

breasts and simply didn't want me to go through the hell she did. It

hurt me instead, but as adults we have talked about it, ofcourse.

And I now understand what she was trying to do.

I'm doing alot of emotional healing being 6 weeks post surgery.

There are still some emotional " owies " hanging around from the past,

especially surrounding my ex-husband of 16 yrs. who " manipulated " me

and " encouraged " me to implant. A week after explant I felt like

emailing him (we haven't been in touch for years) and telling him how

sick I was from the implants. He always used to complain to me about

my health, instead of being compassionate, he treated me like I was a

pain in the neck. Anyway, I resisted, and said a prayer instead.

Sometimes I just feel like being Charlie Bronson, the big vigilante!!

Oh, oh.....must stay spiritual lol

Hope this helps!

Sunny, Isn't it cool when you find a great deal on something that makes you feel like a million bucks? I also have some bras that I just love. Once my husband was sitting with me in a public place and he leaned over and whispered in my ear, "You've got to stop showing me your breasts!" My bra was just a little push up thing but they made such a difference in the way I looked in my clothes, and well, let's just say my husband was appreciative! I wish I had found those bras before I ever got implants. There is healing, and there is definitely LIFE after breast implants! I'm praying that every single woman here finds it. Patty, there are so many ways to feel feminine, pretty, and

attractive. I believe most of it needs to be felt on the inside

first. It's fun to dress up once in awhile, for me, as I am pretty

informal. Wearing a bra that enhances the shape of my breasts is now

a healthy choice for me, instead of me trying to look like I have

bigger breasts. I also wear sports bras, stretchy tank tops, and just

plain " no bra " sometimes. It's nice to go bra-less and not feel sore

and burdened. It brings back my hippy days when I was a 32A and

lovin' it! (I'm a 34B now, was 36C during last days of implants)

It is so sad to me that young girls and women, and for that matter,

boys and men, as well, are subjected to the pressure of " big

boobs " " skinny body " " big muscles " ,etc. One of my biggest motivators

in wellness education is to spare young people the suffering I had to

go through, and many women (and men) that I have known throughout the

years, that I have sat with, cried with, grieved with, and just

simply walked side by side with through their storms and mine. This

breast implant dilemma - and I may add, criminal activity,IMHO, has

really spurred me on.

Long ago when I attended my Grade 9 Class Reunion, a boy (then a

married man with 3 children) who I had a crush on from Gr. 7 onward,

came up to me and spoke with me privately. He admitted that he

really liked me back then, but was afraid to show it, because all the

boys were chasing after my best friend, who was a 38D, and he would

look bad if he liked me. That was REALLY good to hear!

I've been sitting on my God-given gifts for awhile now, especially

since my sister passed away 4 years ago, and because of my extreme

illness from the implants for the last 2 years. Thanks to God, my

family, you and the loving women on this site, I have a new lease on

life and I'm gonna make the most of it!

God is really impressing upon me to sing, dance and just plain clown

around! My goal is to launch wellness workshops in October - my

sister's birthday was on October 9. It would be a loving way to honor

her, as she struggled with body image, weight issues, food addiction

and sexual abuse scarring. She was an " inner city angel " as I called

her, as she would go to the food kitchens in downtown Edmonton and

minister to women, even though she struggled herself so much. We

became really close the last 2 years she was alive, Wow, I guess I

need to share some stuff...emotional healing is really happening post-

explant. Who knew there was all this hidden inside?? The layers of

the onion of life!

Thanks for cyber-listening!

Love ya lots,

Sunny :)

GOD IS LOVE...my three favorite words in the Bible - The theme for

the first workshop will be " Loving Yourself AS IS " ...including a Love

101 for Beginners. Then subsequent ones will address the 4 areas to

balance. Lots of humor, as well. I used to wear a button that

said " Lighten Up! " I'll have to make myself another one...it used to

remind me to enjoy the journey!

, I'm not sure for everyone, but I wore a bra with a soft band

and soft, silky-smooth cups, and no gel bags in it, for the first few

weeks after implant. It isn't padded. I wore it all day and took it

off at night. Rogene says some women wear them 24/7 so the breasts

heal in a better shape. I was too uncomfortable to sleep in a

bra...although sometimes I would wear a sports bra at night. I

started wearing other types of bras at about 4 weeks post-explant. I

definitely don't like under-wire bras, the push-up type, but I do

have one that is comfy, that I wear with certain tops. I used Vitamin

E Oil on my scars and they healed really fast, and are soft.

Prayers are with you,

Love, Sunny :)

On the subject of explantation surgery...

After explantation in 1994, I noticed on one breast that some 'scar

tissue forming process' was occurring in one breast, keeping it from

moving freely, and gentle massage (this was during very early healing

period after surgery) helped the tissues not become adhered to each

other, and both my breasts ended up soft and normal in all respects.

Even after 25 years of implants I had no uplift surgery or anything,

just the total removal of capsules containing implants. I'm more than

satisfied with my results. 'Course I'm 64 now, but I've not had weight

problems, always been thin, had only one baby when I was 20, whom I

breastfed...it's amazing to me what I did to myself by getting

implants! I only got them to help 'fill-in' a congenitally depressed

sternum, look better in clothes, etc., etc. They 'got' me at UCLA when

I went in to inquire about surgery to repair the sternum!!

The best ot all of you who are having explantation. It's so wonderful

to have soft breasts again!
