Guest guest
Hi Lilian Eur J Endocrinol. 2008 February ; 158(2): 217–221. Free triiodothyronine plasma concentrations are positively associated with insulin secretion in euthyroid individuals Emilio Ortega, Juraj Koska, Nicola Pannacciulli, Joy C Bunt, and Krakoff Obesity and Diabetes Clinical Research Section, Department of Health and Human Services, National Institute of Diabetes and Digestive and Kidney, Diseases, National Institutes of Health, 4212, North 16th Street, Room 5–35, Phoenix, Arizona 85016, USA also the original article:- Thyroid hormone receptor TRbeta1 mediates Akt activation by T3 in pancreatic beta cells http://jme.endocrinology-journals.org/cgi/reprint/38/2/221.pdf http://jme.endocrinology-journals.org/cgi/content/abstract/38/2/221 http://jme.endocrinology-journals.org/cgi/content/full/38/2/221 basically:~ there's a fast response to T3 in the pancreas and it relates to insulin output.... whatever else it (T3) does, this one is clearly critical to all functions where you need a fast and energetic response. ie you can't wait for two hours before your FreeT3 increases. best wishes Bob > > Bob, or anyone else, can you please tell me what this means in simple words which I can understand. > > http://www.medscape.com/medline/abstract/17293442 > > Lilian >
Guest guest
Thanks Bob, not quite sure I still understand. Basically is T3 good for diabetes control? Guest guest
Hi Lilian, It looks like it's (T3) critical to me. I'm amazed at the apparent 'distance' between both diabetes and hypothyroidism and likewise between hypercholesterolemia and hypothyroidism, plus 'one or two' other worrying correspondences. The recent paper by Panicker et al 2008, shows just how far there is to go, in getting some of the treatment protocols amended. I suspect they have had to go back to the drawing board and start agin with some of these recent papers; practically, by the month there is another paper that calls into question the entire 'story' that we heard last year in Manchester. best wishes Bob > > Thanks Bob, not quite sure I still understand. Guest guest
, Stick with LDN, and make sure you focus on your diet. All autoimmune diseases are directly related to diet. Consider Best Bet, or better, go Paleo. http://www.direct-ms.org/bestbet.html Alan === Posted through Grouply Create your own group! www.grouply.com
