Guest guest
I have my 19 yr old son on LDN for Crohn's and he is doing fine. My 79 yr old Mother has just been diagnosed with NPH. She was previously very active and healthy with no prescriptions. The only treatment for NPH seems to be surgery to place a shunt in your head to drain the excess CSF or cerebrospinal fluid which is crowding the brain. We don't know what has caused this but it is generally not thought to be autoimmune. Anyone have any insight? We don't want to wait long to do something because the more damage there is to the brain the less you are likely to regain after shunting. Thanks for any advice. I have enjoyed reading this forum and it has helped guide me with the decision to get my son on LDN. So much great info on alternatives to mainstream medicine but I can't find ANYTHING besides surgery for the NPH. Doreen
