Guest guest
As a strong believer in nutritional healing and using diet as a disease preventative, I am posting this video - it is very cutting edge and explains the difference between celiac disease, gluten sensitivity and gluten intolerance. And how all can affect your health - also has a very good explanation of "leaky gut" among other things: http://www.glutenfreesociety.org/video-tutorial/gluten-sensitivity-what-is-it/ Nola http://nolahepper.blogspot.com/

Guest guest
Thanks for posting this. I have been following a gluten free/casein free diet (or so I thought). The only grain I was having was a little corn twice a week (as in 2 corn tortillas - and sometimes not at all) and Bob's Red Mill Gluten free oatmeal (the oatmeal that they process in a dedicated gluten free facility). Lately, I have been eating a lot more oatmeal and I could not understand why I was having a lot of bloating and an urticaria reaction (chronic hives) which I normally got when I was eating wheat. About a year ago, I was on the HCG diet for weight loss and carbs are severely restricted so I was eating the hunter/gatherer diet and I was surprised as how much better my gut issues were including reduction in my chronic pancreatitis. I felt much less inflammation in my torso area and my liver/gall bladder issues seemed improved as well. I attributed it to the low fat part of the diet but now I am wondering if, in fact, it was removing grains from my diet. Now, my question is, has anyone had the HLA genetic testing done (I think this might be a part of Yasko's testing). Was it done through mainstream medicine, as more and more are being done through traditional labs. Lastly, has anyone had the testing done for T cell activation and other immune complexes done? This doctor is in my area so I am going to call and see what type of testing he will provide. Can't afford too much right now but I will report to the group any info I get. If nothing else, just a list of the test codes would be helpful so we can take them to our own docs to make sure we get the right tests done. Thanks again, Marti > > As a strong believer in nutritional healing and using diet as a disease preventative, I am posting this video - it is very cutting edge and explains the difference between celiac disease, gluten sensitivity and gluten intolerance.?
