Guest guest
Hi, I am still relatively new here, and with LDN. To start, I have NO thyroid, and am on desiccated thyroid (6.5 grains). I also support my adrenals with HC. I had finally achieved balance with all my hormones, and then started LDN, to stall whatever neurological I have while being diagnosed. I am currently at 3mg. The thing is, it now feels like my thyroid dose has been cut in half. Does LDN affect thyroid at all, in any way??? I am gaining weight rapidly for me, and feel sluggish. If I increase my thyroid dose by just half a grain, my heart races. The only other thing I have changed is going totally gluten-free. Prior to this, I ate wheat sparingly. We eat a traditional diet, WAPF-style. Thanks! Lynnette

Strange as it sounds, you could get the antibody tests for thyroid too. Since you do take thyroid hormones it is possible your immune system could be attacking the hormones, even without a thyroid present. It could be a yeast flare too. If you look at other posts on this group, that is not uncommon. A good solution for that is to eat no sugar, low carb and take Betaine HCL, 650 mgs., each time you eat. See if any of this makes sense to you. I have been on LDN for a month and Armour for under a year. So, these are a few suggestions.
