Guest guest
Zahavi, in one post you say antibiotics causes yeast which stops the LDN growing:-When you use antibiotics ,you develop yeast, candida and then ldn stop working.Treat the candida .And in another post you say this:-Dr berkson treats RA with ldn and antibioticsIt sort of contradicts your first post. Guest guest
, From what I have read, it seems that due to the way some of us metabolize LDN, the body accumulates LDN and it is then when it stops working. The recommendation is to stop taking LDN for a few days and then starting again. Good luck! On 3/3/2011 6:45 PM, Debruycker wrote: The LDN has seemed to stop working for me. My eyes have been really dry again and I am having pain again. I did find out I had a strep B in my urine and they put me on amoxicillian. So my questions are: Could the strep B infection stop the LDN from Working? Do antibiotics interfere with the LDN? My doctor decided I could go up to 3.5 mg to see if it would help more. Thoughts. Thank you all for your help and support. I am not sure if LDN works as well for Sjogrens, connective tissue patients. There seems to be more success with MS patients. I also have degenerative disc disease and stenosis, and facet joint arthritis. Very painful lately....

Guest guest
, That seems like a good plan, and I expect you will get some relief soon. The increase in pain may be a pain 'flare' that is temporary and related to your body having to fight an infection. The antibiotics will not interfere with LDN, but you need to be proactive and eat yogurt with active yeast cultures and take probiotics to keep the healthy bacteria in your gut in good working order. I read the hypothesis of how LDN works for Chrons disease and it had to do with supporting healthy bacteria in the gut, so staying on LDN is important.I do not have Sjogrens, but did have extremely dry eyes. My opthomologist expressed concern last year. My 1 yr LDN anniversary is approaching on March 22nd. I take it for FM/CFS/ME. When I saw my eye doctor is January she commented on how healthy and moist my eyes were. The other significant change was that my vision improved:) Kinda nice at my age (59 yrs old).
