Guest guest
Hello my name is and I am a new member . Thank You all for sharing your stories I have learned a great deal just listening and appreciate the challenging lives most of you have lived. I live just outside NYC and am looking for an excellent Rheumatologist and/or Infestious Disease Doc to help me with my RA .......... I am currently on 4.5 LDN since 10/15/2011 and Minocycline 100 mg 2x / day since 9/15/2011 . Also Hypothyroid condition 125 mcg of synthyroid I have not seen much improvement from either one as of yet.( I will continue the course until I learn of a differently) Maybe I should switch the minocycline to once a day or switch over to doxycycline ? Getting severe pain in my elbow joints for the last 3 -6 months getting worse by the day. Feels like severe tendonitis. Is there a good way to test for these mycoplasms ? Is there a better way to kill these mycoplasms ? Would appreciate any input Thank You
Guest guest
, I have RA along with other autoimmune diseases. For years I took Enbrel shots, but they got too expensive, so I stopped and tried natural supplements, such as MSM, glucosamine, chondritin, Omega 3 krill oil, extra vti. C, and several herbs recommended throughout the web. Guess what... in about a month I no longer needed a cane, I could get out of bed or a chair with no pain and much less stiffness, and my knees no longer hurt at all. While on the Enbrel I could barely go up the stairs, but now it's easy. The expensive Enbrel did NOT help, but the supplements DID help... a LOT. They are easy to find, and fairly cheap compared to prescription meds, and have no side effects to worry about. So I suggest you give this a try and see for yourself. Just google " natural supplements for rheumatoid arthritis " and choose those that are mentioned repeatedly on many sites. Worked wonders for me, and I'm glad now that I could not afford the worthless Enbrel and was forced to look elsewhere. I am currently taking a 3 month course of Zithromax antibiotic in case some of my problems (asthma, for one) have a hidden bacterial cause, and have an appointment with a doctor who will prescribe LDN. Can't wait to try it and hope it will help some of my other autoimmune problems. They say it doesn't work for everyone... few things do. But why not try everything till you find out what works for you? Good luck! Phyllis
