Nightmares on LDN

I just started 1.5 mg of LDN a little over a week ago. Two nights ago I upped

my dose to 3 mg and started having nightmares. Is this a normal side effect

that will go away soon, or is this something unique to me that won't go away?

My dreams were fine on 1.5 mg although vivid. I have a thyroid issue so I am

working my way up to the 4.5 dose instead of starting all at once.

Thank, Karin

hi karin, i experienced same and now into 4th month but i changed my doseage

1st month 1ml, 2nd month 2ml, 3rd month 3ml, 4th month now 4.5ml

i get the solution is easy to regulate doseage

on this routing no dreams [even though some were very pleasant] nor sleep deprevation

ldn can work on 1ml all depends on the person

stay with it

vivid dreams are a fairly common side effect of LDN when first starting out - I am sorry for you they have turned out to be nightmares - from everything I have read and experienced the dreams usually go back to a more normal pattern pretty quickly.

What is the nature of your thyroid issue? Are you hyper? When I had

hyperthyroidism, Grave's disease, years before I heard of LDN, one of the

symptoms was terribly violent & disturbing nightmares. So perhaps your

nightmares have nothing to do with the LDN. On the other hand, if you're hypo, &

on thyroid meds, it might help to reduce the dose of that med. Some people who

start on LDN while taking thyroid meds find it necessary to reduce the thyroid,

because the LDN helps correct the thyroid problem. Does this make sense?

Most people who have vivid dreams or nightmares when starting LDN find that they

diminish or vanish in a short time. I miss my vivid dreams...they were pretty

amusing ;-)
