Guest guest
Hello dear soul family. I am from Bucharest-Romania-European Union. My belief is Christian Orthodox. My mother died this year on the 4th of January. The Cristian Orthodox Church, they say to give meals to others in the name of the deceased all the time: 1,3,6,9 days, 40 days, 3,6,9,12 months...and 2,3,4,5,6,7 years, and complete clothes at 40 days, 6 months, 12 months.....and 7 years anniversary, counted from the day when the person died. Now we know Human Being is made out of at least 2 components: Soul and Physical Body. Death mean the spirit is living the Physical Body. But I wonder what would a soul (my mother's soul) would do whit food/clothes/furniture; even if that soul would have all these, would it be able to use them ? I wonder why they are needed? I wonder............cause I believe it's just stupid rituals. For example, the great saints of humanity mostly lived in caves, isolated by the rest of the society, and be sure none did after-death rituals for them. So, why us, are doing and giving so many ??? " love inside you is the only thing you're taking whit you. " No furniture, clothes, food. Hope someone will help me to get this aspect clear for myself.
