Guest guest
Even though your blood work has come back normal, this could mean you have a zinc deficiency. A number of people have mentioned this ie thinning of hair etc., and Dr Bob Lawrence has always suggested to increase your zinc intake. I increased mine as I found recently my hair was ‘thinning’ and now I don’t suffer from hair loss. The other thing this may indicate is thyroid problems. It’s not likely what you’re experiencing is caused by LDN. Try increasing your zinc and see if that helps? Jayne Crocker www.LDNNow.comImportant! I have been on LDN for my MS for about 1 year. I also started a few supplements around the same time that I have taken consistently for the same time. I have found my eyebrows have started getting patchy and much thinner than before. My hair is dark blonde so it is pretty easy to just fill them in with a eyebrow pencil, but it seems to be getting worse. I have been to an endocrin dr and she found no abnormalties in my blood work... I like what the LDN is doing so I don't want to stop it. Anyone else had this issue?? Guest guest
Thinning, patchy eyebrows is definitely a symptom of being hypothyroid. You should request a thyroid panel consiting of" TSH, T4, T3 and also tests for auto-immune thyroid diseases like Hashimotos. (I am hypothyroid and have low-grade Hashimotos. Guest guest
One main indication of hypothyroidism is " thinning of the outer one third of the eyebrows. " Take a close look at your lab results (did they do freeT3, freeT4 in addition to the TSH). You should also get tested for thyroid antibodies at some point. The reference ranges----are you at the top, in the middle, the bottom? Doctors have different ways of interpreting the lab results---some just " wait and see---retest in 6 months " and some are willing to treat you if your labs show a tendency. It's good to pursue this, especially if you are having other hypo symptoms like fatigue, brain fog, chronic constipation or other digestive issues, etc. C > > I have been on LDN for my MS for about 1 year. Guest guest
Hi I have encountered this due to what I thought was just Hypothyroid - I have been tested and my thyroid appears to be on track. It certainly left me scratching my head. Then, I had the CCSVI procedure... My left eyebrow is growing back now (4 months after the procedure). For the past 3 years+ I have thought of 'MS' as a vascular condition - I no longer believe in it in the way Neurologists would have me think of it. Once normal and REAL bloodflow is reinstated to people's systems, it makes sense that things like hair regrowth happens. Guest guest
- did you have the FULL panel for thyroid testing? If they just did the basic TSH test alone it is a poor indicator of whether or not you have a thyroid issue.
