I suggest you put your question in the Group of ldn and

autism.

Dr mccandless might be able to help you there .

If you compare your daughter condition to

autism,(vaccines),then you also might want to read dr mccandless book.

Children

With Starving Brains: A Medical Treatment Guide for Autism Spectrum Disorder,

Second Edition

There you can learn about treatments you did not try yet.

Ldn brings the immune system in balance

Hi,I'm new to the group and hardly know anything yet about LDN. So I'm afraid I can't advise you. However, I just wanted to say how very truly sorry I am for your daughter's response to the Gardasil vaccine. You tried to do what you believed to be the very best thing for her. I hope you don't blame yourselves. I want to wish you the best and I really hope things work out for her to recover soon from all of this. It sounds as though you are unearthing every possible remedy. I really admire you for your temerity with this. You obviously love her very dearly and are devoted parents. Sincerely,Cherwyn

Hi

I second the last post… very sorry to hear of your daughter's illness. I think

LDN should help because of the autoimmune parts of her reaction (hashimoto's)

and the compromised immune system. I have some of the same problems although,

by diagnosis, it's MS.

Your post gives me a chance to put out some of my own questions about seemingly

contradictory things I've read about LDN.

This link was recently posted here about how LDN works.

http://www.ldn4cancer.com/techpapers/ldn_for_disease_prevention_quality_of_life.\

pdf

I was unable to copy and paste the charts here, but the first chart (pg. 2 of

the document) shows that after taking naltrexone, Th2 goes up and Th1 goes down!

Just the opposite of what I thought. I too was doing things to counteract Th2

dominance, where yeast and viruses have a field day. So that link, chart

definitely says the opposite.

Then there's this statement by Dr. McCandless, which I`m sure you`ve seen:

" There is a phenomenon that happens to some people that as the immune system is

shifting (usually from T2 to T1) right after starting LDN, the immune system

drops and people get an infection, cold, flu, cold sore, etc. which is usually

short lived. Candida tends to overgrow or a virus will flare up. " This seems

to imply a shift from a Th2 to a Th1 immune system.

I personally don't have a clue what's going on with my immune system, but I do

see favorable results from the LDN. Maybe I don't need to know, other than it's

working as it should. I would hope that anyone who does understand this would

feel free to add something.

I understand your concern, in that you don't want to do any harm. The above

statement could be the basis for the second part of your question: how long, how

bad is that initial adjustment.

I think that's a personal thing. Some people seem to go straight up with LDN,

while others struggle with side-effects and things like candida. Everybody's

different. Big picture is that if you take it and stick with it, it seems to

help with a lot of conditions.

If candida is already a problem, be prepared to take it head-on. LDN seems to

make it worse, or at least make you very aware of it. One thing to consider is

that everyone with a candida problem will have to work to get rid of it sooner

or later to regain health. I hope that whatever LDN does to my immune system,

it will eventually strengthen it to where I can successfully get rid of candida.

You might look into LarreaRx. It's a potent anti-viral.

I've used this since 2009 with good results for viruses.

Hopefully your daughter will be another LDN success story.

of viruses and a comprised immune system. She was at college on a cross country

scholarship and a straight A student prior to the shot and extremely healthy.

Within two weeks of the vaccine she became very ill and has missed the last two

years of college.

supplements, detox, antivirals etc. We have also done 40 sessions of HBOT and

some other things. She has slowly improved (after being bedridden for a year

and a half) but is nowhere near normal yet. Her biggest problems now are immune,

gut and overall body swelling. One of the doctors we are currently seeing gave

me some information on LDN. I have been on this group for about 6 weeks now and

have read lots of good things about it. I am

> just worried about the mechanism of LDN and how it works. I read somewhere

LDN raises the TH-1 side of the immune system to balance things out. My fear

about this is we have tried some things in the past that target lowering the

TH-2 side but it triggered an avalanche of viruses.

if , yes, do they come under control fairly quickly and easily once your body

adjusts to LDN?
