Guest guest
Dear Fellow Travelers, The time has arrived, as I suspected it would for me to weigh in on the pot issue. I started smoking pot as a college student in 1969, and did not quit until 2009. And, up to 1995, I was a drunk too. As pot has long been known to compromise the immune system, I am absolutely and firmly convinced the daily assault played at least some part in the MS on-set. This was noticed in that as my mobility and balance were declining in '07-08, they worsened ever time I smoked pot. Temporary to be sure, but nevertheless notable. Of course, it did not get me to stop.(I was fond of saying, "Man made beer, but God made pot") So now, I refrain from all of it. Quite a change from what my life was. Please take what I say as applicable only to me. But, know too I am convinced in what I post only in the possibility it may help someone else. There is a reason they call MS the mystery syndrome. They don't yet know all there is to know. Far from it, even in the 21st century. So, I suggest there will be a link shown someday, at least as to long term intense users of pot like me. Again, I am not preaching, or even attempting to dictate to anyone. Just posting my story for the benefit of the group. Be well, and love to all. Dave in Pa.
