Guest guest
In myself and several others here, yeast seems to be a problem with LDN, I use Betaine HCL, coconut oil and kefir. I worked up to full dose in two weeks, so I would increase her dosage upward, as obviously she is getting no relief from less than half a dosage. stay vertical, david lubbock tx [low dose naltrexone] Incredible Pain - Please Help! My mother has been on the LDN now for over two months and has been having some of the worst pain she's ever had. She's taking it for Hashimoto's and Rheumatoid Arthritis. She successfully weaned of Voltarin (Diclofenic) and we were hoping that the LDN would help. We haven't seen anything positive yet from the LDN. She began at 1.5 as suggested and I've encouraged her to move up to 2.0Her back is giving her incredible pain - she had back surgery in 2006 and it's not been the same since. Can anyone give encouragement or explain why she isn't feeling better. I really don't want her to go back on an NSAID - she was on the Voltaren for 15 years and it wasn't working so well anymore anyway. But she wasn't in this type of pain all the time. She's on GAPS so her diet is good. Did I ill-advise her to go on the LDN? We have no support from her doctor. He simply ordered the LDN for her (because we asked) without any further recommendations or guidelines. I've been the one researching and discovered the correct dose for her to start with. When should she move up in dosage? How frequently? It is so upsetting when I thought she'd be much better by now and she sometimes can barely move because of the pain.
Guest guest
Candida could certainly be an issue but for most folks 2 mg would still not be considered a therapeutic dose ... get her up to at least 3 mg and ideally 4.5 mg. I really think this starting low and moving up does most people a disservice. Unless you are uber drug sensitive and reactive there is no reason not to start at full 4.5 mg dose from the start. Guest guest
I agree with Jaxi, LDN is safe and I see no reason to at least start at 4.5 and if there is a problem, decrease the dosage.Sterling My mother has been on the LDN now for over two months and has been having some of the worst pain she's ever had. Guest guest
My wife has suffered from Rheumatoid arthritis for many years now, about 28. Up until about 4 years ago, we trusted her care to the allopathic medicine. She was prescribed a lot of medicines with a very long list of very nasty side effects, which in the end made her feel worse rather than better. She had to take many pain killer pills every day, just to be able to get by, and even then, she was unable or unwilling (because of the pain it caused her) to do many of the everyday tasks. One day while watching Veria we stumbled onto a program called “What a Relief” presented by Mcquade Crawford. In this program she gave the recipe for a couple of decoctions that she claimed would help arthritis sufferers. We took the recipe, prepared, and she began to drink it. In a short while she began to see the positive effects. To make a very long story short, she is now a new woman that doesn’t have to take any daily pain killers, and can now do the things that she was unable to, before she began this treatment. She also started taking LDN on 2/14/11 and within a week she began to feel LDN’s positive effects. I will be glad to provide the recipes to these medicines as well as instructions and the name of the places where we buy all we need.
