Guest guest
Hi St I did a little research on Bartonella as we suspected that my partner had it - although so far have not had any tests for it. You should also check forum Eurolyme - there are lots of pictures on there of the bartonella rash which can look like stretch marks or papules. I have also heard that foot pain is very common with bartonella. I found the following papers during the course of my research I think these are all free full texts.... http://www.journals.uchicago.edu/doi/abs/10.1086/519998 jama.ama-assn.org/cgi/reprint/279/7/532.pdf www.journals.uchicago.edu/cgi-bin/resolve?CIDv26p80PDF http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=97920 http://jac.oxfordjournals.org/cgi/content/abstract/46/5/811 Hope this is a start for you. Guest guest
Dear : I think that chelation and antibiotics can both stress the body. Its important to remember that we need to do things to compensate for side effects of these. Have you given her any minerals like colloidal minerals or from sea plants/algae. Sometimes chelation moves toxins around rather than eliminating them. Its difficult to do correctly, and each person may have varying abilities to respond well to the chelation. Not sure why the antibiotics are making her dizzy, but maybe a different one or lesser dose. Also, Culturelle is a probiotic that is noted for being able to take while on antibiotics. Sometimes the antibiotics can harm the microflora in such a way that vitamins and minerals can not be well absorbed from food. Any lack in this area is enough to cause all kinds of severe symptoms. It seems to me that if her problem started right after chelation, than its very likely she is sufferring from chelation back-fire. Its when the toxins are removed from the tissues and redistributed to the brain. Buffered Vitamin C will give some relief for this, as well as cod liver oil. Chelating correctly or gently or very slowly can also reverse the symptoms of chelation back-fire. I use Pectasol Chelation Complex because I feel its the safest thing out there. Guest guest
Hi all, Canlyme is trying to keep a 'thread' pure for the posting of Bartonella information... Hopefully there is something of help for you. By reading through all of the pages in each link you will find links to journals / articles as well as some images that have been posted. It can be accessed at: http://canlyme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=4126 Also, my positive results for Bartonella only came back from LLT-Melisa lab in Germany - for both Cat Scratch and Trench Fever. I am unaware of any North American labs testing for anything but 'Cat Scratch Disease' and there are 5-commonly associated Bartonella strains. However, the 'new' strain recently discovered from the Peruvian Andes is called Bartonella rochalimae - New bacterium discovered ( http://canlyme.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=3441 & highlight=bartonella+andes+califor\ nia ) and I've only seen the one reference to it but suspect that there are many more people who may have it and not know it. / Charolette :-) --------------------------------- Ask a question on any topic and get answers from real people.
