Guest guest
Hi, I started taking LDN at 4.5 mg 8 days ago. After 1 year and nine months of Diarriah that just wouldn't go away I had none and started going 2 time a day. I am estatic. However, 3 weeks ago, before I started the LDN a blood test was taken to check the iron anemia that developed over a year ago. My red blood cell count was down to 8.0(it had dropped from 9.4 six weeks earlier) but my iron stores were within normal ranges(100-150). They thought it may be my cycle but when we took blood two weeks later, my Red Blood Count was still at 8.0 and my stores dropped to 19. Don't get me wrong 8.0 is an improvement from November's original test that yeilded 7.0. My first infusion took place in November, the second in December and the third today. The highest my Red Blood Cell count went was 9.4. Today I had another Iron Infusion performed. 7 hours. The answer I got was it my disease processes make my body unable to absorb iron. I asked how and what processes and was refered to my GI, the blood people couldn't get specific. I was also told that iron usually doesn't get flused out in urine. Logically speaking I know if the LDN is going to fix the blood situation it will take some more time. Emotionally speaking I am devasted(probably all that stuff they give you along with the ferritan talking). Has anyone seen their Iron stores and Red Blood Cell Count improve after LDN? I eat meat that has no antibiotics. I eat red meat, organic veggies like spinach, brocoli, zuchinni and squash. I drink orange juice, coconut H20, cherry juice and tomatoe juice. I take whole food prenatal vitamens and Vitamen B12 in a liquid form. I bought " Stop the Thyroid Madness " and will be going through it so I can go through my thyroid results and check my adrenals with my doctor. I will give myself a week to read up and make that appointment. I keep chasing these things down and would much rather be normal! OH yeah, my hair is not as thick as it used be, infact it had been falling out until I got my first two iron infusions. Guess what? It's falling out again!!!!! Help. Any advice? Thanks, Val
Guest guest
It Might be low iodine levels affecting the uptake, since you mention Thyroid. Contact a Dr Brownstein on the iron iodine problem and see what he says. his number is 1-866-647-5616 let me know what he says Big Al -- " The men the American people admire most extravagantly are the greatest liars; the men they detest most violently are those who try to tell them the truth.
