Guest guest
Hi Joris, Have you had a thyroid test? Thinning hair can be one of the many symptoms. Ann
Guest guest
I don’t think LDN is the culprit. I have been taking LDN for 3 years at 4.5mg per day. I am 76 years old and my barber complains that my thick, dark brown hair clogs his razor. My hair looks like it did when I was 22. Zinc and saw palmetto are two supplements I have taken for 20 years and the ones I credit for my full head of dark brown hair. How old are you? Phil Flournoy Living with prostate cancer in remission. Guest guest
Hi Joris, I went through a phase of losing hair too a few months back and was getting quite concerned. My first thought was perhaps it was my thyroid but when I discussed this with Dr Bob Lawrence, he said I was more likely to be deficient in zinc so to start taking zinc supplements. I noticed such a difference within one week and after two weeks my hair stopped falling out. Apparently it is well known that zinc deficiency causes hair loss. Hope this helps. Guest guest
I’ve also been made to think that it could be seasonal (coinciding with allergies). I’m not on LDN but Tamoxofen and for the last two Octobers the itching has started and then male-pattern hair-loss occurs for a while and then with proper care it starts to grow back. It could be hocus-pocus but I like the way the Arbonne hair and scalp product sooths the itching/burning sensation that goes along with hair loss for me—it would be nice to think that it helps but even if it doesn’t it feels better while its calming down the scalp irritation. I’ve heard of link to zinc for alopecia. J From: jaynelcrocker Sent: Thursday, March 31, 2011 4:40 PM 'Joris Rutjes' ; low dose naltrexone Subject: RE: [low dose naltrexone] Hairloss !!!
