Guest guest
Hi Lyle, Hair loss has been talked about a lot in previous post. Rather than me retyping it and risk leaving stuff out, you might find it more helpful to search the old post for info by typing " hair loss " in the search function. Guest guest
Gday Lyle, Sorry to inform you but there are no real supplements that will assist you other than what Bee has recomended. I had the thickest hair (like everyone in my family) but when candida took over my scalp it started falling out by the hand fulls. The only way it slowed/stopped was after being on the diet for 6 months! And I am also sorry to inform you that although my hair has stopped shedding, it has so far failed to return, other than little clear 'downy' hairs. Trust me mate i know what you are going through, the hair loss was my most depressing candida symptom by far, I tried EVERY treatment, including all the fads, must have cost me $3000 at least, what a waste, and the sad part is 90% of the crap out there is alcohol based so i was actually feeding the candida instead of controlling it! Out of curiosity Lyle, has your hair colour changed? 2 years ago i had very dark almost black, thick hair, however since being ravaged by this damned condition my hair has become orange/red and very thin! even my beard. So much so that people often comment on my once thick/black, now patchy/red beard. I simply KNOW candida is causing this, an interesting observation i made was that the hair on the back of my calves (where my rash was) was red as well!! since being on the diet the rash has gone and the hair is black again! this is all the evidence i need. I just pray the same will happen on my scalp! Hope this is of some insight. Cheers.

As you continue to progress your hair loss will decrease. My hair was long when I cured my candida, and it would come out in big clumps. But sometime while doing the candida program it stopped, and my hair became healthy and full again. Bee

On my mother's side there is male baldness, but on my dad's there is none. Of course my dad's hair was thinner at 86 years old, but he only started getting gray about 5 years ago. The kind of hair loss usually experienced with candida is different. The hair comes out in clumps at random or a lot of hair will be found on the pillow, in hair brushes and combs, or in the bottom of the tub or shower. It isn't in a definite pattern like baldness. Cheers, Bee P.S. Isn't baldness considered sexy?
Guest guest
Zack, I don't believe the hereditary factor theory. Hubby started to go bald and I had him rub his head with polysorbate 80, leave it on for 5 minutes and wash it out. The stuff along with the massage brought his hair back. Guest guest
Dear , At the time I bought it I got it at the local health store. It is an ingredient in many 'hair growth' shampoos. puritansale.com says it is a form of sorbitol and claims it 'breaks up waxy bulld-up'. I don't know if I believe that. If that were true regular shampoo would do the trick. I read in other literature it is only intended to increase blood flow to the scalp There are other natural things I would think, that could have a similar effect. Maybe cayenne pepper for instance or Niacin? Massage helps of course. Guest guest
Polysorbate 80 is a nonionic detergent and emulsifier derived from polyoxylated sorbitol and oleic acid, as oleic acid has antifungal properties, I think the success of the treatment may be due to the fact that it is an antifungal. Guest guest
- Thanks! I go in on Friday! I am staying away from the hairbrush as much as possible. Too frustrating to see all the hair left behind in the brush. Could this have anything to do with my body not absorbing the Armour well? I tried asking my doctor about this but wasn't entirely sure what to BEG for at this point! Guest guest
It is important to remember to increase Armour slowly. Some people need to go slower than others. 1/8 or 1/4 increase for a week or two may be all you can tolerate. There can be absorption issues as well, but I can't remember if or how they check that. Anyone? If you have have problems with more Armour look at how you increased it. I think it was Roni that had to increase VERY slowly. Hair loss can be associated with hypo and hyper. How much Armour are you on? cw -- Re: Hair loss - Thanks! I go in on Friday! I am staying away from the hairbrush as much as possible. Too frustrating to see all the hair left behind in the brush. At one point during a health crisis a few years ago I lost so much I worried it might not return. Once stabilized on medication the hair did grow back in the spots where it had disappeared. For me this did not have anything to do with needing large amounts of medication in terms of milligrams for example, rather becoming stabilized on the amount that is right for me. Guest guest
Well, I take 2 grains broken up by taking 1/2 grain at 7am, 1/2 grain at 11 am, 1/2 grain at 4 pm and one final 1/2 grain at 7 pm or there about. Guest guest
Okay, well I just posted my Armour schedule. I am pro Armour so I hope it works well for you. I am concerned it is another issue...just not sure which one. I have to insist my antibodies tests get run. They used to be high and I never got a Hashi's diagnosis or much care at all for that matter. It may very well be more complex than I realized and with more years it is showing itself. Guest guest
2 grains of Armour is a minimal dose, but maybe that's all you need or maybe you need your adrenals tested. Not sure if you knew it or not, but being able to take a low Armour dose can equal adrenal issues. Make sure you ask for a saliva test. cw -- Re: Hair loss - Thanks! I go in on Friday!
