Guest guest
I dont understand why it is such a problem to prescribe LDN? It is after all a pharmaceutical drug so the pharma companies are still making money. Can someone explain?TXL.
Guest guest
With the symptoms and problems that you listed, I cannot imagine why you are so excited to try the LDN. The part about maybe needing a liver transplant really struck home. Please take some time and watch the video on Dr. Burt Berkson from the 2009 LDN conference. He is a pioneer with Alpha Lipoic Acid, that you see recommended here all the time. It is enormous help with the liver especially. We have had people with hepatitis essentially serio convert to zero virus load with the use of ALA (and the B vitamins that it needs to do the job.) While starting the LDN (and you won't be sorry!) do consider starting on ALA as well, if you have any fear of a weakened liver. I suffer from Crohn's, Graves/Hashimoto's thyroid, primary sclerosing cholangitis, and various skin autoimmune ailments. I have some numbness in my toes which they say may be the beginnings of MS, as my grandfather died of MS years ago so I am genetically predisposed. He also had Crohn's and liver problems. I have not undergone the spinal tap at this point so I do not know if I have MS. > > I am hopeful that I may get some relief from LDN. Even if it just took care of one thing I would be thrilled. I am keeping an open mind about everything and trying not to have too high of expectations. I will post my experiences as I go along. > .. . . He also said that it would not impact my ability to get on a transplant list if/when my liver fails. . .
Guest guest
My rheumatologist just prescribed LDN for Fibromyalgia and peripheral neuropathy pain since I have severe allergies to all the conventional medications. My faithful compounding pharmacist is making it up for me in an allergy-free formula. I also take a very low dose of oral Methotrexate weekly for Sjogren's Syndrome and Niaspan every other night for high cholesterol, both of which can cause liver toxicity. So far my liver enzymes have stayed in the normal range, except for a brief toxic reaction to Macrobid several years ago. sjs

I was diagnosed for MS around 13 years ago and was taken Avonex for 12 of those years , I made a decision to stop it 5 months ago , not that it wasn't working it was working, but the anxiety for me taken the shot weekly , pain and side affects just got the best of me . Over the last 5 months I feel weaken and do feel the difference not being on it . I went to my neurologist yesterday , and left there very upset because he would not give me a prescription for LDN , after 13 years of being a patient of his I now feel that I don't have a neurologist any more he said there is nothing more I can do for you , and I have to start all over again. Does anyone know if you must have a neurologist a get a LDN prescription . Thanking you all in advice
Guest guest
Many of us can not get a prescription so we order on line and mix it ourselves. The tablets that we get contain 50 mg naltrexone. Add 1 tablet to 50 ml distilled water and after it has dissolved the filler will settle to the bottom and the liquid is all naltrexone. Therefore 1 ml of the water contains 1 mg naltrexone so that you can adjust the dosage.RiverPharmacy.ca 60 X 50 mg $159.60 + $9.99 shipping = $2.83/pillAlldaychemist.com 50 X 50 mg $84.00+ $25.00 shipping = $2.18/pillUnited Pharmacies 50 X 50 mg $86.85 + $ 7.50 shipping = $1.89/pill Mexican pharm http://NaltrexoneRx.com.mx 30 X 50 mg $148.00 + $12.00 shipping = 5.33/pillEuroDrugstore.EU 30 X 50 mg $133.00+ $35.00 shipping = $5.60/pillSterlingFrom: AUGUST79R@... <AUGUST79R@...>Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Re: New group member, placed first order of LDNlow dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, March 23, 2011, 8:04 PM francie@...Sent: 3/23/2011 12:35:54 P.M.
