Guest guest
Hi Vicky, Are you with ATT? We use the same LDN but give 0.4. I spoke to Lorane last time we ordered it because the dose she said we should give to Jakub (same as recommended to you) was less than half of 3mg. She said she will ask the pharmacy to do the cream as per DAN's recommendation- twice that strong the next time. Maybe ask for the same. I don't think it will be much more expensive, because most of the costs is the cost of preparing the cream. Anyway we haven't seen any effects on 0.2 much better on 0.4 Hope that helps Are you from Edinburgh? Guest guest
Hi Kasia I am with ATT but not from Edinburgh, took the trip up there to get testing and she suggested LDN. I'm still confused though if you now have a stronger cream then wouldn't you just stay at 0.2. Has she asked for the stronger cream just for your prescription or for all? I'm just thinking if the cream is stronger and you give twice as much then that's quite a big difference to the original instructions, maybe I should just call her snd see what she thinks. How long would a reasonable trial of LDN be? tends to react to things very quickly good or bad and it rarely changes from his initial reaction. Guest guest
I started out with 2mg and then a month later my LLMD (lyme literate MD) upped it to 3 mg. The thing is she wrote the script for 100 3 mg capsules and said to take 1 or 2. I did the 3 mg for maybe a couple of weeks, but I want to up it to help with my ulcerative colitis. So, I am taking 2 capsules now. I know that the studies say that more than 4.5mg isn't beneficial, but is it ok to take 6 mg until I run out and get the next script? jan

Guest guest
Www.LDNscience.org is maintained by docs ar U Penn. They report that some patients with Chrons do better on twice a day dosing. I have fibro, CFS, and IBS and tweaked my doze when I started. I have fewer symptoms with twice a day dosing (total 9mg). I metabolize quickly, and believe this is critical to have 2xday dosing work. If you metabolize slowly naltrexone would block for too long, you wont have OGF rebound and it feels like a cloud covers you with a depressed mood. If you pay close attention, you may be able to determine when endorphins release, you may feel warm and your heart rate goes up. The site statea we should not exceed 10 mg per day. The video on that site does a great job of explaining OGF rebound, which is critical to understanding why LDN works.
