Guest guest
I have been taking LDN for almost three weeks now, for FIbromuyalgia. I came here to this forum to learn what I could and the website to learn more. There is a lot of good advice here form all you folks taking LDN, and I want to thank each and every one of you. My own advice for new users or those about to begin treatment on LDN - do it with an open mind and don't " expect " any of the negative side effects you read about here... I get a little sleepy in the afternoons, no big deal I take a nap when I can. I get a little dry mouth, but that may actually be because of my allergies or all the pollen. And #! on my list - I am not afraid of addiction with this drug! My first morning after taking the first dose, I woke up totally pain free! I have not had any of the stabbing pains of fibro that I used to have. And I have only had the neck/shoulder pain twice since taking LDN! I went to my follow up with my Dr yesterday and she is going to offer it to her other Fibro patients an also tell her close friend about it that has MS. To those who found what I call my magic potion - I owe you a debt of gratitude.

Guest guest
This must be meant for the groupDate: Sun, 27 Mar 2011 14:27:51 +0000From: jeannie.wright@...To: lucretia14@...Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Re: New user- It Works! Thanks for sharing your story and to all of the supportive members here. I am so glad things went so well for you. I wonder what percentage of those who go on LDN have side effects of yeast and viral conditions being stirred up as well as sleep issues? Are side effects more prevalent in people with a certain set of symptoms?I know the side effects, especially regarding viral and yeast flare ups have me worried and weigh heavily on my decision to move forward on this for my daughter. She has been injured by the Gardasil vaccine as I have mentioned before and many moms whose daughters have been injured suspect yeast issues as yeast is part of the process of manufacturing the vaccine. The vaccine seems to set off underlying viruses and conditions so with these things already being stirred up it is scary to consider something that could stir it further. My daughter does on test positive for candida however we treated her with flucanazole for weeks as her doctor said sometimes it does not show in tests. We saw no difference in symptoms.
