Guest guest
I agree with you, it is a disgrace! Those poor pregnant women, and it is not cost effective in the long term. My daughter had a problem with high blood pressure that they missed-ugh! Finally she went into full Preeclampsia- BP 200/180- they had to do emergency C - Section. They baby was not breathing and purple when he was born at 31 weeks. He was put on a ventilator and taken to Children's Hospital. He was in for 10 week - the NIC unit. Cost was over 800,000 dollars! They are in the military so they paid a very small part of that bill. He is doing fine except for very bad asthma, and he is very tiny, still willing a 2T at 3 and one half years old. If my daughter had gotten those shots this would not have happened. So, Dr's give the shots for a reasonable cost or pay hundreds of thousands of dollars for preemie care. Oh, and 2 states are trying to pass bills saying they will not pay for preemie costs! A country will be judged by how it treated it's least fortunate citizens. "Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, "I will try again tomorrow"."
