I have found, however, that several non-pharmaceutical approaches are helpful. One is oil of oregano or live leaf extract, natural combined anti-bacterials/-fungals/-virals which can be taken in capsule form. Kolorex (horopito) is another substance in that category (very effective; maybe more so than the other two, and the others are fairly pretty effective for a lot of people). And so is Neem. The other good thing about these is that they're fairly inexpensive. I would think one of these would work for you. It would be helpful to take one or more probiotics also, since all substances like these will kill off some " good bacteria " /yeast as well as bad, and probiotics will help replace the good stuff. Like acidophilus (either capsules or eat plain -- UNSWEETENED -- yogurt (if you can't deal with it unsweetened add a bit of real fruit rather than buying yogurt with fruit/sugar already in it, which is quite sweet and almost totally counterproductive). S. boulardii is also helpful, as are other probiotics in the lactobaccilus family (same family as acidophilus). n
Guest guest
I have been on LDN for 3 weeks and have had a major outbreak of eczema and doing everything to fight the yeast from all of the steroid cream that I used for over 20 years for it. I'm not sure that everything is yeast and that everything said on here is good to follow. I got the oregano and it made me worse and my nose dry out, so I am going with foods to feel better at this point. It can drive you crazy trying to deal with the yeast and much information given can make the yeast worse. Some of it is just food allergies which affect many people today. The best info I have found is that you need to overcome it with good fats like organic grass fed meats, lacto-fermented foods and omega 3 fats like organic butter and soy-free eggs. Here is a link to Jordan Rubin's advice on yeast as he beat Crohn's with his high good fat diet and probiotics. Hope this helps and you feel better. http://www.needs.com/product/HWC04-HER-05/l_Candida > > Hi LDN family, I have followed this group for the last 4 months learning and > reading all the juicey advice and details daily. > Hope you can help me, I'm 34 with FM & have been on LDN for 4 months and > feeling better. Guest guest
Hello n!I read your reply about "Neem" as an effective non-pharmaceutical approach for treating Candida. My wife has been diagnosed with MS and after finding this so very helpful and active group I started her on LDN. But, the effect of LDN on her is not what others are reporting on this site. I did the spit test which was positive. But, unfortunately in this part of the world no one is able to suggest or even know about candida. What I will like to know is what did you meant when you mentioned Neem as an effective approach for Candida. Is this the same Neem that grows in abundance in India or is it a name of some other medicine. Please if you can share your advice it will be very helpful. Thanks in advance.RajeevIndiaFrom: n Van Til <mvantil@...>low dose naltrexone Sent: Wed, April 6, 2011 12:05:43 PMSubject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] Please help,On Wed, 06 Apr 2011 12:08:35 -0400, christina balkis <ninabalkis@...> wrote:> Hi LDN family, I have followed this group for the last 4 months learning > and> reading all the juicey advice and details daily.> Hope you can help me, I'm 34 with FM & have been on LDN for 4 months and> feeling better.
