Guest guest
Thank you . I love my hubby so much!! He is wonderful...well, most of the time. My family has a long history of long marriages. Mom and Dad were married 54 years. At their 50th wedding anniversary, BOTH of their mothers were there! WHOA! I don't know is I would like to be around when our daughter has her 50th! She just got married last August....that would put me at 101! Rather frightening I would say! LOL Then, my Mom remarried a wonderful man who was widowed after 62 years of marriage. We really didn't want them to get married, but they said they were old enough! Oh well. They were married nearly 4 years before he died. Mom died 5 months later. It was all very sad, but long marriages are a blessing for us! My brother is celebrating their 34th this year. I am so proud of them! He was unfaithful to his wife a few years back, but they decided to work it out! I am really proud of HER for keeping him. I personally would have dumped him, but that is not my decision! I still love them both! OK......well, maybe this marriage will work for you...I will pray that it is the marriage made in heaven! Guest guest
Anita I just got on after being off for a couple of days and read about Amy and your brother [ right], I am so sorry and to not be feeling well at the same time to much. Remember stress can and will make you feel worse so try to get some rest and you know your brother knows how much you love him and that you would be there all the time if you could. Guest guest
Anita, I have heard, I think, of this co-enzme Q10. Do you have any idea of what it is actually? Is this a precription or over counter med? How much do you take a day? I have to go to the drug store sometime today so I'll try and ask them about it. Have you ever had a liver biospy? You probably did a intro awhile back when everyone was sending one in, but, it would take me hours to sort through the unorganized papers!Take Care! -NH
Guest guest
hi christine, thanks for your email. Q10 is available in england either on prescription or at any chemists store. the normal dose is 30mg per day. they usually come as 30 mg tablets.i saw my liver specialist today and double checked the Q10 and he says hes getting brilliant results, and as one who take the medicine, i have to agree. yes i had a liver biopsy around october 2002. dx aih and put on high dose steroids and 150mg. imuran. i have been coming down on the steroids and they have now taken me off them permanently, unless the blood tests show otherwise. hope all is well with you, take care anita > > From: Nocera-NH@... > Date: Wed 23/Jul/2003 11:35 GMT > > Subject: Re: Re: [ ] Anita > > > Anita, I have heard, I think, of this co-enzme Q10. Guest guest
Anita, I am glad you and your family are back together again. Can't remember the details of everything. How old is Amy? Sorry to hear that your numbers are up. I do remember your doctor just recently took you off prednisone, but, can't remember if you were on any other kinds of meds for the AIH. How old are you, if you do not mind me asking. Have you had a liver biospy? I do remember that you are the one that is taking the coen-CQ10. I found information on it in a book. I would type it in but there is quite a bit. Don't know how to use my scanner to send this in. While I was at work today I made alot of copies so if you or anyone else would like to have a copy , I would be happy to mail them out. I need addresses though. So let me know. CQ10 does alot of different things for the body. It does say it enhances your immune system. (Dictionary - Enhance means to increase, as in value or beauty.) In my opinion enhance could mean just a little or just a touch, etc, etc, Have to see if can find out more on it. I don't see my hep until Oct. so I'll address all this when I see him. I did call my hep last week to ask him about it, but, Nurse said he never heard of it. hmmmmm.... That was a little disappointing to me. I have tried to read stuff on the immune system but I find it's hard to understand with the cell things?!? I think CQ10 is expensive. I haven't actually checked it out at the store or the pharmacy. Based on what people have said. Anyway, What is your next step, Anita?
Guest guest
hi, thanks for your email. amy is 9 and my son is just 18 and making the most of being allowed to drink, legally.at my pharmacy, co-enQ10 is £6 for a months supply, which is pretty cheap. i am at the hospital this wednesday. i have been on 150 imuran since dx last october. i had my biopsy about september last year. had to wait 12 months for that. as for my next step, i dont know really, i just take each day as it comes. i will see what the hospital say. 1st night on my own here (guy has gone back to his flat tonight, hes expecting an early a.m. delivery tomorrow) since the death threats started last week. but i have to stand up for myself some time, yeah. my address is 26 westlea drive gorton manchester M18 7NR england. phone number 01612235531 take care anita > > From: Nocera-NH@... > Date: Mon 04/Aug/2003 00:21 GMT > > Subject: Re: [ ] Anita > > > Anita, I am glad you and your family are back together again. Guest guest
Anita, I must have missed something. What's going on with the death threats? How incredibly scary for you. I am glad you and Guy are giving things another go. I will keep you in my prayers that you can work things out. Guest guest
karen, thanks for your email. yes, its been fun over here. it is some of the neighbours that are threatening me, they want me out of the house. i reported one of the families because amy kept being beaten up by there daughter. they think its me, they dont know for sure. but things have calmed down since guy came home and amy is a different child, happy and confident again; i hardly see her, shes always playing out. whats the weather like with you, we are seeing temperatures go into the 90s. a record for england. hope all is well with you take care anita > > From: " Weston " <karenw@...> > Date: Mon 04/Aug/2003 18:53 GMT > < > > Subject: Re: Re: [ ] Anita > > Anita, > I must have missed something. Guest guest
Anita, Please do be careful. I am glad to hear that Guy is back home. Hopefully your neighbors won't bother you with a man in the house. It has been humid and raining the last couple of days here. We've had flash flood watches and warnings. The rain has kept the temperature unusually low. The high today was 82 degrees, which is about 8 to 10 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. We have very mild winters here. The summers are very hot and humid. Temperatures in the 90's are the norm in the summer here. My sweet hubby is a truck driver. Thankfully his job is local so he is home every night and works only Monday to Friday unless he wants to make some extra money by doing a run on the weekend. His work truck does not have air conditioning. I feel so bad for him on the super hot/humid days. I typically enjoy the warm (hot) weather because I love the water. I scuba dive, water ski, swim, and we have a boat. However, this summer I am being good and staying out of the sun as the rheumatologist has said I must do (because I have lupus). We didn't even bother getting the boat out of storage this summer because my hubby and I knew that if we had the boat out of storage, I'd end up going out on the boat and in the sun too much. So, this summer I am being good. I make no promises about next summer, though! I'm keeping you, Amy, and Guy in my prayers that you can work everything out and keep your family together. Also, will have you in my prayers regarding your elevated liver enzymes. Hang in there, W

Guest guest
Thanks. I'm in Virginia and pretty far inland, however in my neighborhood the trees are very tall and we have had a lot of rain this year. Not a good combo when they are calling for 50-75 mph winds. I'm leaving home and going to my sisters if it gets to bad. She is in the middle of a field. I figure there's not too much I can do if a tree falls on the house and they are calling for 10 inches of rain. Can't do much to stop that either. I figure the safest thing to do is take care of me. A house can be replaced. I can't.

Guest guest
hi jan, i am amazed by what you have told me about the hospital your sisters in. i can tell you that a phone at your bedside is a luxury not many hospitals have. those that do cost an absolute fortune unless you want incoming calls only. i have been waiting to see a neurologist for 12 months and thats for an emergency appt. i hope your sisters results are promising, if she can be treated thats good. wish her luck from me. the other thing about our hospitals is the food, i wouldnt give it my dog and she will eat anything. how are you, i dont know what my doc is going to do, if anything, i will see him tomorrow. have you been doing anything interesting lately, life is pretty boring here, no change there then i hear you say. the weather is getting colder and wetter, but we did have a good summer. take care love and hugs anita Message date : Oct 07 2003, 04:28 PM From : Ian & Janet To : Copy to : Subject : [ ] Anita Hi Anita.....just wanted you to know that Im so impressed with the UK hospitals. Guest guest
, we have a neurologist that is LL and the cardiologist is LL from NY city. The neuro is at a stand still right at this point. However they are trying to figure out everything now because of what the first doctors did and diagnosed. So I think they are trying to help, but also cover theirselves. Anita
Guest guest
Hi Anita - welcome to the group, I'm sure you'll get some answers Is your Mom in good hands? Where are you located? Just a thought....If she is asymptomatic and has ONE tumor (or enlarged lymph node) in her body, I would ask whether R-CVP is the best treatment. You might expect that for someone who has significant lymph adenopathy, or bad blood counts. The second thought I might offer is that if she is into naturopathic things, by all means, but not instead of conventional TX. I've seen some bad results with people who chose to go naturopathic only, unless they are in the "watch and wait" period. Finally, what exactly is her diagnosis?
