Guest guest
who let the dog out, woof, woof, woof Unfortunately that wasn't my dog. It was one I happened to meet on vacation. I felt like the dog could smell the bad spots. He even gently nibbled on one spot of my head with his teeth that tends to hurt at the base of my skull where the neck joins in. It is where I have a lesion. Then when he went to the other lesion spot in the thoractic area I knew that the dog knew there is something up with me. The owner said he only does it to people who have something wrong with them. His vet told him 1 out of 100 dogs can sense stuff like this. Guest guest
We have a Silken Windhound trained for cancer sniffing. The dogs are far more sensitive than most commercial tests. They are taught to sit in front of the sample from a cancer patient. The same Silken was being shown at a dog show and kept sitting in front of the judge. After the ribbons, the handler apologized for the dog's misbehavior and explained why she had been trained to sit, when the judge told the handler that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer the week before. It would be interesting to walk such a dog through a crowd and see what response she offered to people.
