Guest guest
Jeannie, go to www.thyroid.about.com. There's tons of info there about Armour vs. Synthroid. Lots of people do better on Armour. If you can't get your doc to listen to you, find another doc. Would you continue to take your car to a mechanic who refused to repair it and was damaging it instead? >From: " Jeannie " <jeannieb_75@...> >Reply-hypothyroidismonelist >hypothyroidismonelist >Subject: new member >Date: Mon, 21 Feb 2000 02:43:49 -0000 > >From: " Jeannie " <jeannieb_75@...> > >Hello. There are various tests that they do to determine Candida, parasites and food sensitivities. I had a test done called electo-dermal screening. The homeopath will direct you as to which herbs to use and mine made a special tincture just for me. She outlined the foods to eat and those to stay away from. It was outstanding and very informative. Keep us posted and surely you will find some good solid infomation and help here on the list. WELCOME! Of course I've been to the dentist and the doctor but have always come away with with no practical help. In a desperate attempt at solving my own problem I looked at a couple of websites with one particularly helpful one at http://www.tau.ac.il/~melros/faq/36.html , This particular page mentioned the possibility of yeast infection. I started reading about Candida and suddenly realised that my 'experiences' could possibly be linked. My experiences are: Terrible breath problem Occasional difficulty in swallowing Fuzzy headed - feels like I'm not really here Unable to gain high energy Mood swings Bloated feeling after eating Insomnia Unable to catch up with sleep - constant tiredness Depression Lack of concentration Could this be Candidiasis? Sounds like bunk to > me, but now I'm nervous! > > tia for responses, > -Todd Todd: It seems to vary for each person, depending on the level of toxicity...see how you feel and they recommend 3-5 days to properly break a 10 day fast. I found with my first fast & colonics the waste removal was unbelievable..whereas now...it is not as extreme. They say one of the indicators is the coating on your tongue..as it starts to diminish, the level of toxicity has decreased...I am at day 21 of my fast and I did the first 12 on the master cleanse as well and then slowly added in fresh vegetable juices a couple of times a day. As it has become apparent through this series of colonics...I have Candida, and so the maple syrup is no doubt feeding it so green is the way for me to go. I have experienced everything from TONS of energy & mental clarity the first 10 days to 2 or 3 days of quiet sleepy days. The quiet sleepy days correspond with healing crisises such as parasite removal, eczema and acne flare up. If you are not 100% sure though about what you are doing and your knowledge behind it - it can cause doubt which can be detrimental. It has been suggested by some that the " salt wash " that is part of the master cleanse it too harsh on the system...but it depends on who you speak with. I have used it as an alternative when colonics were not available with very positive results. I have never had anything but 100% excellent results from colonics. I wasn't too keen on going, and it's not something I sit around and discuss with my girlfriends...but as my colon therapis says " better out then in " ...and I have to agree when I see the results!! In fact, colon therapy was my RUDE awakening to the presence of parasites. I personally have never heard of anyone having a negative experience during a colonic or have it tear their colon. But I suspect that with every profession, be it chiropractor, naturopaths, homeopaths, colon therapists...there are great ones and there are not. My naturopath equates it to playing the piano...some play " Chopin " some play the scales...LOL I have changed colon therapists several times in search of the one who exhibited the most knowledge and skill. Good luck with your fast and cleanse!
Guest guest
I had anxiety and depression for 17 years and every single time I saw a doc she or he said it was a vervous or mental disorder and they repeatedly tried to make me take the pills. I would not take them, and they were really annoyed and frustrated with me. Once I went on to the Candida diet all my symptoms disappeared within one week. I kept strictly to the diet by the way. 100%. I am now trying to sell 6 months worth of st s Wort!!! Lee
Guest guest
So Kate I think you can start to reduce the meds as soon as you begin to keep to the candida diet 100%. You can't cold turkey on brain pills - what is it paxil or Prozac? - that's what most candida sufferers are fobbed off with! Lee
Guest guest
Kate, I hate to tell you, but I take anti-depressants every day of my life. I have tried everyone on the market, but this seems to be working. I tried every anti-depressant on the market with no luck. I, also, take something for the anxiety and it also helps the helps the muscles from jerking. There are more RX I take, also. I have tried many, many times to get off the anti-depressant. I would think I can do this good without them. HA! My husband would pitch a fit. I would be so depressed I could hardly get out of bed. I came to a conclusion, kinda late, if that is what it takes for me to lead a normal life, then that is what it takes. It took me a long time to accept that. I hate them because they make you hungry. I have never weighed this much, even when I was 9 months pregnant. So, now I must concentrate on this weight and I believe that I can rid of the weight. Hang in there, I don't have the UTI's, but if they find a pill for you that helps you lead a pretty much normal life, then I would go for it. I believe God uses doctors and RXs and etc. for miracles. Someone had to give them the knowledge. I don't know if it helps, but just hang in. You are not alone. God is right there with you. New Member HI! My name is Kate 37 years old. I am currently on the yeast free diet. I started about a week ago because I have had hives for 5 months now. That was the reason I started but, I also have anxiety/depression and I am currently taking meds for those. I have had recurrent UTI's for the past 5 years, and that was the same time I developed anxiety/depression. I was wondering if any of you had hives, anxiety, depression, or UTI's and were you cured? I hate taking meds and would like desperately to be off them. Any and all input is very much welcome.. With Hope, KateSend blank message to candidiasis-unsubscribeonelist if you want to UNSUBSCRIBE ! Guest guest
Hi a, Chronic Fatigue is related to candida. I am going to bet that your hives are candida related. I had this happen years ago. Of course, no cause was found. I have been sick for about 12 years. I am finally getting better. I am taking a probiotic complex, Colostrum6, vitamins, enzymes, Colon Cleanse, and a Detox tea, all of which can be found in health food stores or on the net. I am also using something called a " zapper " : https://www300.hostcenter.com/tcmtsc/dcra/books.htm http://zebu.addr.com/~essence/index.htm I am not eating any sweets. I am trying to eat a healthy diet, not always successful. I am getting better. I have no financial connection to any of these books and products. Hope this helps. If you have any questions about any of these, post to the group or email me at peacenjoy2@... Peace and Joy, Gloria New Member Hi... Iam new to the group. Guest guest
Welcome Jerry: Hope you find this board (er support group) as interesting as I have in my month of being a member (you see I'm a rookie too DX'ed with AIH first part of August). It's truly one of the most valuable places to read and post. I found the best way to read the messages and post was via my e-mail'er. Guest guest
Clyde, thanks for the welcome. I have what may be an unusual story. I had end stage cirrhosis and had very little time left when I received a transplant 5 yrs. ago . Everything turned out great except I was diagnosed with bone marrow cancer from the lowering of my immune system caused by the anti-rejection pills I must take for the rest of my life, it`s incurable This hapened 2 ys. ago, they can`t give a timetable on my life expectancy though. Due to the transplant I have blood drawn every month ( also for the rest of my life). This past Tues. my blood was drawn and huge elevations were seen in my functions. They thougt I was rejecting my liver, but after somemore tests, a biopsy, and an ultra sound they told me I had AIH. and started me on prednisone. I know all I need to know about cirrhosis ( my wife died at age 39 of cirrhosis-but thats another story) ,liver transplantation (been both places done both things) and I`ve gotten pretty knowledgable about multiple myeloma, but now I`ve got to bone up on a new disease--oh woe, --oh well-- maybe I`lli get something more exotic next year. Thanks for listening. Jerry

Guest guest
, Of course the end in " end stage " is death, but SOME of the things I suffered through were, hemmoraging due to esophageal varices and I mean hemmoraging-- spewed blood out like an open hydrant--(11 days in icu and some 20 pints of blood -they were sucking it out as fast as they were putting it in.) In fact hemorraged twice - I was in critical care or icu about 4 times In a two year period I was hospitalized 14 different times for various reasons and length of times.I bled internally the whole time and had maybe 10 endoscopys with scleratherarpy procedures plus a couple of colonoscopys, in fact if you can think of a procedure other than a D and C I probably had it and was beginning to beieve that might happen too.One of the livers MANY functions is to balance your hormones and when that shut down my testes receded and I started developing breasts.I lost most of my body hair. A bout or two with hepatic encephalopathy is very interesting also, as is the Lactulose they give you to try and control it- but you`re pretty much confused all the time any way. I also lost 5 of my back teeth one by one.Nose bleeds, scratching all the skin from your arms and legs from the itching and diahrea and hemmoroids make life tough, but perhaps most interesting is the ascites.I lost all my muscle mass, I had yellow skin and eyes, and you could see each bone sticking out.My face looked like that of a ninety year old cadaver or perhaps a skull with thin yellow skin streched over it.Add to this a network of fine spider like veins on my nose, face.chest and shoulders--then think about swallowing a beach ball---stretching your belly out so you could see the tightness and a bunch of blue blood vessel straining to bust out and then trying to walk on swollen feet and ankles like an elephant an you get a picture of what I looked liked. People I`d known for thirty years walked right by without recognizing me. Some others wouldn`t look directly at me as I was grotesque.I had my belly drained 4 times, till the gastro thought it was too big a risk. Swollen like that put intense pressure on my heart and lungs and made it hard to breathe. I couldn`t walk very far without stopping to catch my breath. I slept most of the day and fell asleep standing, leaning a gainst the wall, a sitting up. Only by Gods grace and a wonderful unselfish donor family was I able to receive the gift of a new life. The day after my transplant was like being given a whole new body, the change was so dramatic. That was 5years ago Oct. 19. All things don`t run smooth and the Prograf I take to keep me from rejecting has facilitated the growth of cancer cells in my bone marrow and I now have multiple myeloma. GOD has a wierd sense of humor . After getting a disease which eats away my bones I get diagnosed with another whose TREATMENT eats away at your bones. Go figure. I`m sticking with the prednisone though `cause I just don`t want to die from cirrhosis. Of course this is my experience not everyones My wife showed only ascites, some bleeding and a bright yellow skin and eyes to match her hair . Yet after 44 days by her bedside my daughters and I watched as her organs just shut down in a morphine induced coma .Same cirrhosis same result and shes stil just as dead. sorry for the life story but you asked. Do as your doctors ask and pray ,I`ll be doing the same for. Many happy years and don`t worry about tomorrow its counter-productive and hasn`t happened yet . love, God is always with you Jerry hi Jerry, I wish the best for you. Guest guest
I know about the love and UNDERSTANDING in support groups .I belong to one of the biggest--ALCOHOLICS ANONYMOUS> `m glad to that one of the lessons that learned there is also prevalent here---that I`m NOT UNIQUE and there are those who understand my (our) problems with love and tolerance. Thats what I was hoping to find here and I`m glad I came. It`s so calming to talk to others who have an exact understanding of what you`re up against. For the last 2 yrs. I`ve complained to Doctors, family, and friends about my sheer exhaustion and joint pain but it made no immpression. I didn`t know what caused it myself till my diagnoses and visiting this site.
