Guest guest
Hi, Just have a question for my partner.. she's started LDN for thyroid issues, psoriasis, fatigue and pcos. She started on 1.5mg 2 weeks ago, and hasn't really noticed any changes yet. Just wondering whether this means it might not work? She just increased to 3mg yesterday. Do people often not notice changes until they get up to 3 / 4.5mg dose? And how long before changes are noticed with this type of stuff? Thanks! Guest guest
Please don`t expect anything to "work" in just two weeks. I don`t know where this all started but it`s considered best to judge after at least six months. SOME people with issues like crohns have some immediate relief but most people have to wait it out. It doesnt mean it`s not working if you dont feel anything after two weeks. Most of us have been sick for years and years so it`s very unrealistic to expect a miracle, which is what being "cured" after two weeks would be! Theres also no need to stick at a lower dose - some people do that in order to try to avoid the very few side effects, but it`s also Ok to just go to 4.5mg straight away. If you consider the original pill of Naltrexone comes in 50mg doses, what we take is miniscule. There may not be a lightbulb moment of recovery but a gradual realisation that you feel better. In progressive diseases like MS, not feeling different would be considered a great thing!
