Guest guest
For those of you on clomid, what is the background on your hypogonadism? Just wondering - I am going to see a new doc on monday and was going to ask about it. Mine is probably caused by damage to either the hypothalamus or pituitary from a severe infection - would clomid be appropriate for me? Thanks, Mark
Guest guest
I wasn't bashing Clomid. In fact, I'm probably going to go back on it, despite my vision problems. And you're right about Propecia, although I have no idea how that relates to what we were talking about. Guest guest
I have been on and off both Clomid and CG. The cause of my hypogonadism is Propecia. What sort of infection did you have? Did you have normal testosterone levels prior to the infection? TE > For those of you on clomid, what is the background on your > hypogonadism? Guest guest
TE, My T levels weren't checked until 11 years after having the infection, and then they were quite low. I had a severe tropical disease and a severe epstein-barr virus infection. After that I started having trouble with weight gain from time to time, and I had a real hard time gaining muscle strength and endurance. Fatigue became a big problem, and anxiety became a big problem. I also remember noticing what I now know are hot flashes many years ago. The problems have waxed and waned over the years. However, overall my health has gradually deteriorated since then. I think that illness caused some sort of damage to my hypothalamus which has caused seconary hypogonadism, CFS, and possible hypothyroidism (I was on meds for several years, but the levels seem to be normal now without meds). It has also lead to liver and gastrointestinal problems, psychological problems, some neurological and cognitive problems, abnormal immune system tests, etc. I think getting my hormones properly corrected could go a long way towards helping with a lot of these things. I don't expect it to be a miracle cure, but I am optimistic I can achieve significant improvement, thanks to the knowledge I have gained from this group! Guest guest
Tom, This journal (JVSR)is not listed in PubMed. This may be because the journal does not have rigorous standards for reporting medical research, or that its a advertising rag for the chiropracters. The journal is " peer reviewed " . In lay terms it means other chiropracters have agreed with the articles. But to gain credibility, the journal must be covered by Medline or PubMed. Otherwise, atleast for me it has no credibility. There are thousands of journals in PubMed. It is worrying, that the research could not be published in any credible journal. Guest guest
A , I belong to another ms group that about a year or so ago asked all if anyone had a head injury in the past. Of the 80 or so folks that responded.....71 had a head injury in their past, including me. That is firsthand and very interesting and credible to me. Certainly more credible than the FDA or the pharmaceutical industry. To each his own. Regards, Tom [low dose naltrexone] Re: Interesting > > > Tom, > This journal (JVSR)is not listed in PubMed. Guest guest
I wonder what percentage of the general population has had a head injury at some time in their past. And how is head injury to be defined? Like most kids, I had plenty of falls that included whacking my head, sometimes seeing stars, once knocking myself out. Without further definition "head injury" is too vague a term to have any real significance statistically. I do wish we had a site that we could enter a lot of variables into for correlation. Head injury, high fever, low basal temp, food allergies, etc. I'd like to see what kind of commonality exists. Guest guest
JVSR is the most credible research avenue open to chiropractors at this time. Just because the journal is not covered by Medline or Pubmed does not make it uncredible. Those avenues have just been blocked by any chiropractor attempting to do research by the medical establishment. Much the same way chiropractors have been put down by the medical establishment for 100 years due to their lack of scientific data about the adjustment. Tons of positive results py patients don't mean diddly unless it's in a " medical journal. " But fortunately for us, technology has been catching up to chiropractic and we are now able to quantify many of the changes made postadjusment via MRI or various other modes and this will hopefully open chiropractic up to the " medical journals " and to a greater acceptance in the public. In fact, a radiology instructor of mine from chiro school is now doing research with Mass General Hospital, the teaching hospital for Harvard doing that very type of research with MRI / and neurologic response to the adjustment. This will probably end up in JVSR that very " advertising rag " that Aegis spoke of. le > > Tom, > This journal (JVSR)is not listed in PubMed. Guest guest
It's also interesting to note that during the time when I was in chiro school and receiving tons of cervical spine adjustments, I didn't have one MS flare up in the 4 year period of time or for 2 years afterward eventhough it was a very stressful time for me. When you are allergic to the food or the nutrients in the food, you cannot absorb or assimilate nutrients from the food. When you are allergic to eggs, milk, fruits, vegetables, grains, etc, you are also allergic to the nutrients contained in them like proteins, calcium, vitamin C, sugar, B complex, etc, that are needed for various body and enzymatic functions. > > The Top Ten Allergies > 1. Egg Mix ( proteins ) - proteins are the most essential factorsin our body. Allergy to proteins ( eggs ) can make one more susceptible to frequent colds, flu-like symptoms, bronchitis, sinusitis, pneumonia, infections, asthma, skin problems, hair problems ( poor growth, falling hair, premature gray ), breathing problems, digestive disorders, muscle and joint pains, fatigue and weakness of the muscles, poor blood circulation, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, water retention in the tissues, mental or manic disorders, poor memory, poor concentration, headaches, sleep disorders, irritability, and hyperactivity, etc. > 2. Calcium - calcium is necessary for any movement in the body, walking, running, eating, heart beat, etc. These require a certain amount of calcium in the blood. If patients are allergic to calcium, they cannot absorb calcium from their food to run daily normal body functions. The results may be fatigue, body aches, muscle aches, constipation ( the colon is unable to relax ), hyperactivity, irritability, high blood pressure, inability to calm down or relax, insomnia, etc. > 3. Vitamin C - is needed for growth, development, repairing wear and tear of the cells and tissues, clearing poisons from the blood, etc. Vitamin C is a very good antioxidant. After vitamin C treatment, most fruits and vegetables eaten will be non-reactive. Many environmental substances contain vitamin C like grasses, pollen, soaps, detergents with citric acid ( lemon scented ), strawberry or mint flavoured toothpaste, mouthwash, etc. After the basic treatments, reactions to the environment will be reduced. Vitamin C allergy causes repeated bladder infections, frequent yeast and other infections, poor circulation, skin conditions, digestive problems, etc. > 4. Guest guest
> > i find it interesting that feeding candida also feeds > cancer? Does the medical society know this? ==>Jack, the medical society doesn't want to know it. If they allowed themselves to believe certain things which are " basic truths " they would lose their precious profits. In fact a member of their own group won a Nobel Prize for discovering the cause and treatment of cancer. His name was Otto Warburg - see our Cancer Folder. Two main causes are of cancer are 1)a lack of oxygen in the cells, and 2) sugar. Of course sugar cuts off oxygen and so does man-made oils and fats. The cure is stopping the intake of sugars, all forms of it, as well as high carbs, and increasing oxygen. Oxygen is increased by: 1) vitamin C which increases the body's production of hydrogen peroxide; 2) vitamin E; and 3) niacin. Bee

This is so weird I wondered waht was going on with my face and skin, I knew the eyes was toxins but this posting is freaky. This is happening to me right now, Terri P > > > Dry Skin Brushing for Enhancing Skin Elimination > Healthy skin should eliminate two pounds of waste acids every day. Guest guest
Two pounds each day...I should weigh much less. Would Dr. Pepper's brush work? Honey, I am not making fun of you; however, this seems to be a bit harsh on our bodies! Love you again...........Me ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ interesting Dry Skin Brushing for Enhancing Skin Elimination Healthy skin should eliminate two pounds of waste acids every day. Skin brushing before dressing, and before every bath, will remove the top layer of dead skin that would otherwise block the effective elimination of toxins through the skin. You can look closely at the iris (colored part of the eyes) in the mirror and tell how well your skin is eliminating. If you can see a darker ring around the very most outer edge of the iris then you have what is called a scurf ring. Seeing a scurf ring always means that your skin is not eliminating toxins well, and it is being reflected on the iris of the eye. It is not a disease of the eye, but simply a reflex sign of an overload of toxins at the level of the skin. You can observe your eye and watch it improve as you progress with your detox protocol. You will need: - Natural Fiber Skin Brush w/a long handle. (NEVER USE A SYNTHETIC BRISTLE BRUSH due to the fact that these can cause an adverse electrical charge on the body) Instructions: Use this brush dry, without any soaps or water, prior to bathing or dressing. It should take you about 5 minutes or so, brushing your entire body, except the face. Brush in all directions, but generally moving towards the heart. Imagine you are brushing the lymph fluid up from your feet, up the legs toward your heart. Do the same, starting at the hands moving lymph fluid up the arm towards the shoulder and on to the heart. Using the long handle of the skin brush, reach to the lower back area and brush the lymph up the spine and sides, moving it up and over the shoulders to the heart. Your skin may at first be very sensitive and you may think that you are scratching and hurting the skin. Make sure you are not damaging the skin, but after a week or so of doing this you will usually find that it feels good. You may use a special face brush to use on your face.
