Guest guest
Thank you Rod. And thank you for the email direct to me as well. I appreciate that you didn't take my bad mood post too harshly. I believe what I reacted to was the perceived " demand " and knowing that most of us are in a similar position to yourself, just as overwhelmed and muddling along, well, I guess I didn't take well to it. If I have sources I try to include them, although often when I am responding from work like right now I do not have access to those links. Mostly I speak from personal experience. If I read things from others I find intriguing I do further research. Through the people on this list I have found out about Candida, EIS, iodine, DE, high dose and lipo Vit C, etc. I might not have known much about them or been driven to further research them if people hadn't mentioned them here. For many of those things I emailed the poster offlist asking further questions since they really are off topic for this list. I have found almost across the board the people on this list to be generous with their time and knowledge and resources. And I always research the heck outa something before I am willing to risk the health of myself, my human family or my four legged children. Even if it takes months to get get enough info to feel comfortable making a leap. I realize not everyone may have months - this is where sharing some of your personal story and asking very specific questions can be so helpful. I am far more likely to take the time to help someone who shows they have put some time and effort into it themselves. But that's just me. I wish you the best Rod. Obviously I wouldn't expect back-ups from personal experience. And I do consider personal experience the MOST valid of all, really. So I just want to say that, yes, I can always check out things, but I am on many lists right now, as I try to get a handle on HIV/HCV, and I don't have time or the energy (mostly energy) to do research all day. So any links are always welcome, as many point out. So all of you who felt impatient with me, please forgive! As all of us, we are trying to get a handle on our individual issues as quickly as possible, as we don't want to be listed in the obituaries of the local papers! And since as a rule we seem to not be too trusting of the " experts " it is a daunting job to try to educate oneself about how to stay/get/remain healthy when we have few trusted advisors! Like, where is the medical school we can go to? Internet? And how can we always trust the sites there, especially those who are trying to sell us their products? So we try to learn from each other, which is probably the best way, huh? But I keep running into statements from several groups like: take this or that ONLY on an empty stomach, or the opposite, and when I do more research, I find the same confusion. Hell, it seems like it's better to just blithely go along and die when one dies, rather than to try to figure out this whole health thing, doesn't it? If you are a victim. And since we're all here sharing and doing what we can, we obviously aren't victims, are we? Well, BRAVO! We're fighters, and we need solid, honest information from personal experience to make our own choices. We are all experimenting on our bodies, and some of us win and some of us lose. I recently lost a friend in Mexico who experimented on her own body for years, but finally lost (probably due to complications from childhood polio). She taught me a lot, and I always had to remind her to back up her pronouncements, too! It is so easy just to have someone tell us what to do. Doctors love that, as do teachers, politicians, etc. Easy patient, no conflict, just do it and hope! NOT!!!! We have brains, and we obviously use them. So my hat is off to all of you where are here trying to figure out how to treat and heal and be well and happy! Bravo to you all! And thanks for sharing from YOUR experiences and if not your experiences, then sharing where you got the info and saving us all having to do hours of research! To your health!Rod American in the Philippines, where the medical establishment would generally love to keep you Not asking questions, too!Youtube movies: rodgis44
