Guest guest
I thankfully have not one ina couple moths, but they will hit hardw ehn they do like someone punched me withknives between thier knuckles. and unfortuntaly I can't take a bath right now, Iam too worried about my UTI's and if you saw my tib you wouldn't want to take a bath either. i have some kind of carbon or something growning on it it seems, i have tried bleach, clorox, bon ami, ajax, tub cleaners, iam goinbg to try Glisten next. It did wonders for my dishwasher we'll see how it works on the tub, but thanks for the suggestion. S. I may get stuck a lot in life, but at least I stick with it:) Chest pain Stuck - I've had that since I was a child as well. I've been told it's a combination of my heart murmur and muscle pain due to anxiety. It's horrible and scary, but it's not caused too many problems. My homeopath says that pain behind the breastbone can indicate the thymus working overtime, a sign of infection, so I guess the candida's contriburing to the pain as well! Relaxation techniques such as meditation or a warm candle-lit bath with lavender oil, work absolute wonders for me, but they're not always conventient! How often do you get these pains? If they're really debilitating, maybe you need to talk to your doctor about them again. Guest guest
Hi Stuck, and everyone, Chest pain could also be mitral valve prolapse, a condition often seen in tandem with candida troubles. Crook talks about mitral valve prolapse in The Yeast Connection, too...it's very common for sufferers of m.v.p. to have yeast, and vice versa. I know several people who have had this, but I've never heard of a treatment given for it. So I assume its not too serious or permanent, just uncomfortable. Guest guest
Only a doctor can diagnose problems with aortic insufficiency. Most people with Reactive Arthritis (Reiters Syndrome) will experience chest pain due to the inflammation of the tendons connected to the tiny joints and the sternum of the chest skeleton. This kind of inflamation is called " chostochondritis. " Many on this list have suffered from it and have discussed it frequently in past years. Weight loss usually goes along with a flare-up of ReA/RS for most men, and also many women, though I would have to say that more men than women have reported weight losses during flareups than have women. Three years ago I lost 50 pounds in little more than a week. At age 27 I lost 40 pounds in two weeks. Both time were intense flareups of symptoms from ReA. Guest guest
Your Aorta Valve deteriorates in some cases with R.S. ... In 1986 , I had a replacesment valve put in @ s Hopkins in Baltimore ...I had one of the originals and now it is a STANDARD Valve that is used World Wide ... I had a choice between that or a Pigs Valve that must be replaced after 8 + or - years or the mechanical valve ... My sign's where my B.P. was that the high was too high and the low was too low ... Among wiith all the usual test ... Professionally , if your Doctor has any Questions you could talk to a Proffesor of Medicine @ s Hopkins by the name Traill and mention my name and he will give your Doctor all the INFO ... Back then and now I was used in teaching doctors from all over the world in the symtoms to look for ... I would volenteer my services in front of any where from 4 to 300 (in an auditorium with head phones ) doctors with amplified head phones in what to look for ... In 98 I needed a redo because it always had a small leak do to something I did out of surgery on the 3rd day ...too much ... So if you do need to know I'm sure Doctor Traill will lead you in the Right Direction ... Walter essexhaus@... P.S. due to a stroke in 95 , My memory isn't very good ... Guest guest
Dear , Thank you so much for your response. When you say " if it is difficult " to breathe, do you mean that it is actually hard to get breaths? I ask because I don't have shortness of breath, but sometimes the breathing hurts. (Please don't think I'm giving you the 3rd degree! I'm just trying to get a handle on how important this is for me to call my doctor!) For example, do you know how it feels if you go swimming at a beach? Then later your breathing somtimes hurts. That is the kind of pain I am having at the moment. Also, taking deep breaths definitely hurts and sometimes is hard to do (I seemed to feel it was necessary to try this little extra experiment). I also have been having chest pains caused by inflammation of the sternum. But the doctor upped my prednisone for 5 days and it seems to be helping that a lot. If you have any additional advice, please feel free to advise!!! Thanks again,
Guest guest
Dear , When my arthritis flared (the worst I've ever experienced) about 4 1/2 years ago I was also having problems with my chest. After testing is was found that is was both the sternum and the lining of my heart that was inflamed. Since then, there has always been some abnormalities regarding my heart on EKGs. But the sternum returned to " normal " . I still experience swelling in my sternum from time to time, and the only way to get rid of it is to take some pain medication and try to relax. If it interferes with breathing in any way get to the hospital, you don't want it to get out of control. If it's not interfering with breathing, let your doctor know next time you see him/her and get his/her advice. If you do need to go to the hospital, try to get someone to take you, if possible don't take yourself. Breathing problems will interfer with your ability to drive. And it's nice to have a friend with you to help. Sorry it's taken so long to respond, my computer's been trying to say that I can't send e-mail. I think I got it fixed though. pigeon92@... _________________________________________________________________ Chat with friends online, try MSN Messenger: http://messenger.msn.com
Guest guest
Dear ; you should call and tell the doctor the symptoms you are having if he doesn't know. I don't want you to be afraid it's just that he needs to know if it is inflamation or a possible infection. I hope the Prednisone being upped helps very soon. You are not alone and we send our love for you to feel better real soon, good day, Melt I'm just trying to get a handle > on how important this is for me to call my doctor!) > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed]
Guest guest
Dear , I agree with everyone else. I wouldn't take the chest pain lightly. I have experienced really bad chest pain where moving and my breathing made it worse. I would sit on the floor curled up in a ball and I tried not to move or breathe too much. I thought I was having a heart attack. It ended up that the lining surrounding my heart was inflamed. I was quite frightened especially since it was so painful. I should take my own advice. Since this disease can effect are organs it is important to seek medical attention or at least call your Doc. and tell him about this. I have an irregular heart beat and the Doc's don't know if I had this before the Stills or not. Although when I was last tested, with exercise it returns to normal so not much to worry about. I do wish I knew if this was a development that occurred after I was diagnosed with Stills. I didn't mean to ramble. I hope you feel better. I hope you have a good Doc. Let us know what happens. Guest guest
How about if I hire you Angie to do my fighting? I know I have to be more on top of my doctors at times. I had just seen him last week with chest pain but he just pressed on my chest and said it was probably inflamed. It feels a bit better today, but if stays or gets worse, I promise to call him back. I know (somewhere deep inside) that I have to take control and not feel like I'm being a pain. But sometimes i need reminding! Thanks to you all for looking out for me. I am so sorry that you all have to go through this stuff too. Love,

Thanks for your info. I do seem to more more worn out when I have the chest pain. One problem I have today (and anyone can please feel free to offer their thoughts) is that I know I'm having a flare up. But my kids are off of school this week and my husband took off today so we could go " do something as a family. " All I really want to do is sleep all day and let him take the kids out so I can be alone for once, put my feet up, try and sleep since I can't at night, etc. BUT, I feel like a selfish mother for wanting to do this!! Can someone please remind me that it is ok to just take care of me?!?!@?!? OK, just venting about this makes me feel better and I think I'm going on my own mini-vacation today. Guest guest
I know how you feel. Yesterday was my Daughters 2nd Birthday party and unfortunately I was having one of the worst days that I've had in a long time. I still went, but I might as well have stayed home since I didn't really feel like I helped that much. We still try to do stuff as a family as much as possible and on my good days I will take the kids to the zoo and let them play in the Children's area for as long as possible and sit down on a bench and watch them, or ride the train. My true retreat is going on a camping or Jeeping trip where we're in no hurry and can just lay a cover down under a tree, next to a lake or something and watch the kids play and talk to my wife.... Ahhh, I think I just got a little less stressed thinking about that.... :-) So yes, take some time for yourself, but also talk them into something that isn't hard on you... > Hi, all. Guest guest
Bonnie, do you still have your gallbladder? I had mine removed before my mgb but I clearly remember that those pains were in the middle of my chest and made me nauseous. I thought I was having a heart attack and even went to the ER one night. Turned out that I had numerous gallstones. Could that be it? Alisha

Guest guest
Alisha, are there any other symptoms with it? Nausea/vomiting? Even though you don't have your gallbladder, you can get stones in the bile ducts, that's why we have to take the Actigall. It could also be indigestion or gas. Definitely get it checked out.
