Guest guest
Hi there - I'm currently taking LDN for endorphin deficiency syndrome and have been on it for two weeks. I started on 2mg for a week, then 3mg, now I'm meant to go up to 4.5 tonight. I am currently 19weeks pregnant. I have had a number of migraines lately since starting the LDN and I'm concerned that it may not be suiting me very well. I don't feel a huge amount 'brighter' and I am wondering if I should stop taking it.... Does anyone have experience of migraines starting whilst on LDN? Do you have any advice for me? In the last couple of weeks the migraines have been every few days, whereas before I only had a couple in 3 months. Does LDN take several weeks to start working? Would it be normal for me not to feel an improvement at this point? Sorry for all the questions, I just really need to do the best thing for myself and my baby. Thanks in advance. anne xo
Guest guest
I actually have fewer migraines since starting on LDN. Any chance the migraines are more related to hormonal changes wrought by the pregnancy?JaxiOn Sat, Apr 16, 2011 at 11:02 AM, DBM <anneharper76@...> wrote: Hi there - I'm currently taking LDN for endorphin deficiency syndrome and have been on it for two weeks. Guest guest
This blog gives another example of someone for whom more (LDN) was not better. Me too. The video on the www. ldnscience.org site explains how LDN works, through OGF rebound. Messsage #101241, e-mail from Dr. Zagon, the discoverer of LDN, states that people's " different pharmacology " could lead to either tolerance, needing more to produce a benefit, or sensitivity, needing less. EOD (every other day) is fine with him. I personally wouldn't rush to get to a higher dose. If you're not feeling " brighter " , that might indicate you're missing the OGF rebound. This is where LDN has its benefit, so a dose that gives enough time for a rebound is optimal. I think my headaches were part of the " cloud covering me with depressed mood " (message #101579) caused by not clearing the LDN quickly enough. They stopped when I took 2 days off from LDN. Then returned when I took 4.5 mg 2 days in a row. I'm now experimenting with 3 mg EOD. Finding the right dose is very personal, but key to getting some benefits.
