Guest guest
Dear Bee, So can I take this probiotic if there's rice maltodextrin? Last time I asked you about extremely high amount of carotene and your reply was that it's a sign of vitamin A deficiency...however, carotene is pre-vitamin A. Would it be a conflict if I have too much pre-vitamin A and still took vitamin A supplements? Are there other candida sufferers with similar symptoms to mine? Also, I will not have any bowel movement without using a lot of probiotics...what's your advice on this problem? Thank you very much, Star > > > Bee: can you tell me what is Malto dextrin. Yes, you can take that probiotic, but ensure you aren't taking them too soon, since they are the last step of my program for very good reasons, as written in my main candida article. There is no conflict since your body isn't converting carotene so it is high, which is not vitamin A, while " true " vitamin A (retinol) could be low or lacking. All of the fats and nutrients work together, including vitamin A, D, & E, omega 3, butter, coconut oil, etc. and protein, minerals, vitamins, etc. so your body will become able to re-balance any nutrients that are too high or too low. >Are there other candida sufferers with similar symptoms to mine? +++What symptoms are you referring to? > Also, I will not have any bowel movement without using a lot of probiotics...what's your advice on this problem? +++If you changed over to this program too fast you will get constipated since it takes time to increase your good fats up high enough because they are antifungal. Also if you've ever been constipated in the past your body will " retrace " each and every episode in order to heal the area completely - see Hering's Law of Cure on my website. Guest guest
Dear Bee; Do you notice other candida sufferers also have problem with excessively high carotene and very low vitamin D and very low EFC.Do you know what causes this symptom? I needed to use probiotic to get my bowel movement for 2 years already. Do I still use probiotic while staring your program? Otherwise I will not have any bowel movement. Any imbalances are caused by a depressed immune system, which is caused by lack of proper nutrients, toxins, foods and drinks that feed candida, bacteria and cancer, etc., etc. > > I needed to use probiotic to get my bowel movement for 2 years already. My nuropath recommended Dr. Ohhira's probiotics. I took them for 2 years and they helped make me get real strong so that I could get my life back. Then I started eating like just about everyone else eats, while taking the probiotics. I knew I had candida because I couldn't stay away from the sugar and breads. I stopped taking them 1 month before I started this diet. > I don't know if you are familiar with these probiotics. The ingredient list is pretty lenghty. Yes I am very familiar with Dr. O's probiotics. On my program you add probiotics last. It won't hurt you to take them sooner, but they also kill off candida which increases die-off symptoms, so it is more important to start on the diet, take all supplements and take unrefined coconut oil as the only antifungal. Or is it ok at 85 degrees? >  Hi Angie Portillo. Like I advised previously probiotics are very unimportant compared to " proper nutrients " anyway, so why bother with them? In fact probiotics are so unimportant that I am considering deleting them my program. That is because your body is very capable of producing the proper probiotics it requires when it is healthy enough to do so. It is too cold in the fridge to allow proper fermentation to occur, so you need to find a location that is close to room temperature, i.e. basement? No, 85 degrees is too warm, which will make it ferment too fast and spoil it. All the Best, Bee

In the link you gave me to " Curing Candida, How to Get Started " it says the final step is to plant beneficial bacteria in the intestines. I think I am a bit confused. How do I go about doing this if the probiotics I've been using aren't taking? +++Hi Sascha. Welcome to our group. Congratulations for being on my program and feeling better! +++I'm considering deleting taking probiotics since the human body is smart enough " to create any beneficial bacteria " it requires if you give it what it needs to get healthy, which is mainly " proper nutrients. " > > > Also I haven't had a period in about five months. Not sure if this is candida related. Curious on your opinion. +++It is very common for periods to stop for some time when on this program, since your body needs to attend to more important aspects of health. > > One other question....are Shirataki noodles okay on the diet? I found this website www.miraclenoodles.com. +++No, please do not have those noodles! If it seems too good to be true, it IS! My diet is " back to nature " so all processed food are not included. Those noodles are not " real food " my friend. All the best, Bee
Guest guest
I find mine at Earth Fare, and it is near the herbs but in a refrigerated section. My LLMD prefers the refrigerated probiotics. I hope that helps. From: Bratt <memawbratt@...> Subject: [ ] Probiotics Date: Thursday, November 12, 2009, 10:13 PM  My Lyme doc told me to get Milk Thistle and Probiotics to take along with the Doxy. Can someone please explain to me what the Probiotics are? We looked in several stores for it, but looked in the herb section. Are we looking in the wrong section or looking for the wrong thing? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. n
Guest guest
Yes, antibiotics kills off the healthy as well as the unhealthy bacteria. Probiotics is putting back the healthy and will help with the possible side effects of nausea, diarrhea, yeast infections, etc. Look in the refrigerator section at a health food store.... just ask one of the clerks at any health food store and they can get you situated. Guest guest
Probiotics aren't herbs. They're bacteria. The doxy will kill off all the good bacteria in your gut that are necessary for digestion and proper immune function, leaving you at risk for some very serious complications with lifelong implications. Probiotics, taken at least an hour away from your antibiotics, will replace those lost bacteria. The best probiotics will be found in the refrigerator case of a health food store. (Whole Foods has a great selection.) There are shelf- stable varieties, but they're not as effective as the ones that must be kept cold. In addition to two different probiotics (one of which is a " hospital formula " specifically aimed at c. difficile), I also take a daily dose of probiotic yogurt, which is available in any grocery store. Activia is one popular brand. Kefir, a probiotic yogurt drink, also works. Guest guest
i make kefir, which they say is 10 times stronger than Yogurt, and much better than any capsule you can take. I am on two different antibiotics, (for 3 months so far) and will be for another year at least... I have yet to have any yeast infections or any stomach upsets because of the kefir, I also give it to my dogs and my guinea birds.. it helps tremendously with my colitis and acid reflux (actually eliminated it!) I would NOT live without it for sure... here is a good link to learn about it, all you need to do is buy some grains, and make your own fresh kefir everyday with milk. Its VERY SIMPLE and so good... http://www.kefir.org/kefir_manual.htm Terri WI

Guest guest
terri, systemic yeast causes a ton more symptoms than just yeast infection and/or stomach issues. one could have overgrowth of yeast but not necessarily have those two symptoms so please be careful as in my opinion just kefir is definitely not enough. After you are completely healthy you can take the maintenance dose of 3 tablespoons per day, which is what I do. +++It takes 1 month of natural healing for every year you've been unhealthy, and for most people today that is since before they were born. > Re.
